First time to Branson, was unsure where to see the fireworks, could not find much information on it at all!!!!! So, decided to book a night at the Chateau on the Lakes.. we were able to see the fireworks poolside... it was beautiful... we could order drinks and food right at the pool.. kids loved it. They had a barbeque and music in the tent next to pool area that was extra but we didn't feel the need to join at all, there was not too many people at the pool are so it was perfect for our kids to swim and enjoy the view.... Hotel was nice clean and big...lots to see... everyone very nice... we were very happy!

From the arrival at the front door, to the late night at the Library bar, it offers class and yet a relaxed luxury. The piano player is very good entertainment while enjoying the food that is just the right mix of comfort food to satisfy the appitite and yet meet the next level of fine dining. We enjoyed the inside patio (great views with water falls) for light fare and the breaffast on the landing overlooking the lake and pool. It has it all. Some might say a little expensive, especially for drinks at the pool. For my money it delivers a clean, well serviced and exiting place to feel you have gone some where special while at the lake or taking in the branson entertainment. Check it out. We had a great time on two seperate visits.

Stayed at the Chateau during the 4th of July week. We also had a timeshare condo at the Wyndam Meadows not far away that was home base for a family vacation of three generations. The room at the Chateau was booked as a respite for my wife and I and our daughter and son-in-law, so we rotated evenings. The room was nice but not what the website has envisioned it. Small pool area for this size facility. Some pretty nice vistas of Table Rock Lake from the balcony, sans powerline that cuts through the lakeside view. Reportedly, the spa was an enjoyable experience. The service personnel were very pleasant, however that observation can not be shared with some of the front line staff who were at times a bit curt.

Reports from the kids were the fireworks display on Wednesday evening was sensational; Disney caliber. Most of Branson gathers to the lakeside areas for the display. In all, this is a nice Hotel with an average resort feeling. We have been to the Coeur d' Alene resort in Idaho which sort of sets resorts on lake front standards.

Branson is a great family vacation destination. We weren't sure what to expect but went on the recommendations of friends. Can not say enough good about the Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede. Family entertainment at it's best. Comparable to the Hoop Dee Doo Dinner show at Disney Wilderness Resort.

Dear RtripKearney:

Thank you for your honest feedback about the resort and for the two thumbs up for Branson. There is no excuse for "curt" service. Hopefully whoever the associate was on our staff that displayed that type of behavior they have either corrected their ways for they will not last on our team. Please accept our apologies and thank you for bringing it to our attentions.
On a positive note, we thank you for the shout for our July 4th Fireworks and the reference to them being “Disneylike”. That is great company to be in.

Regards,

Stephen Marshall

Just returned from a wonderful 5 nights at Chateua on the Lake. I admit I was not exctied about a trip to Branson as I prefer my get-away on the quiet side, indlgent side. This hotel was PERFECT. It is far enough outside the main drag as to feel remote but we were still able to easily get to anything we might want to see (which was very litte in our case). The room was spacious and comfortable, though the tubs are just standard sized. Our balcony over-looking the lake was small but gave us a lovely view of the sunset and the hotel's fireworks.Though it was over 100 degrees, the relaxing by the pool was comfortable with cold towels delivered by friendly staff. We also enjoyed using the canoes and the beautiful spa. All in all far more than I expected in Branson.

Room Tip: The lakeview king rooms are great and huge -- no need for a suite.

Everytime we stay at the Chateau, we have a great time. The staff is excellent and very friendly. We enjoyed the valet parking and had a pleasant conversation with the valet every time we passed through. Check-in was quick and easy even though several people were arriving at the same time. This hotel is well planned and has a great lay-out. Everything is close by and it doesn't take long to find your way around. Our room was near the elevator and still was quiet. The room had a king bed and a sleeper sofa. The bed was slightly firmer than I prefer, yet I slept well every night. One nice feature was the extra sink in the room. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed and featured a hamper and a TV speaker with volume control. Everything was very clean. We had a beautiful view of the pool and Table Rock Lake from our small balcony.

Room Tip: If the view is important, ask for a room facing the lake.

The location is great. Be prepared for high priced food and internet connection. I don't mind paying for internet connection; if it is a good connection. The internet connection is rather slow. And, you have to pay for each device. The room we had didn't have a refrigerator. We enjoyed being away from the main part of Branson. The view of the lake is great from the lakeside rooms. The staff was very helpful and the service was good.

The marina is well maintained and it was easy to launch and retrieve our boat.

My wife and stayed at the Chateau on the lake while attending a conference in Branson, MO. This was our first stay and it was a nice hotel with a very friendly staff. The view of Table Rock lake was excellent from our room and our room was a nice two room suite. My bed was comfortable and the AC worked well, always important to me, if these are wrong, nothing else seems to matter. The hotel was quiet, lots of families but no noises in the middle of the night. It was definitely a peaceful nights sleep. My wife enjoyed the hotel amenities (gift shop, deli, sweet shop, movie theater) while I was at the conference. We also had ice cream at the on-site ice cream parlor one night and it was nice, the caffe mocha was good as well. Wife ate at the deli and enjoyed her lunch, she noted it was a little on the expensive side. The hotel is clean, well decorated and is truly a beautiful property. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is impressive when you see it up on the hill as you are driving across the dam at Table Rock lake. I must agree with others that have reviewed this hotel, it is over priced. I was a bit shocked when I got the bill under the door. I would have given it 5-stars if the price would have been more in line with what I would expect in the mid-west. If you are wanting to spend time at the lake and not be too close to the hustle and bustle of Branson, and you don't mind spending a few extra dollars, Chateau at the Lake is the perfect hotel. It takes about 20 minutes to get from the Chateau to Branson Landing. We stayed at the Hilton at Branson Landing last year and would rank it above Chateau at the Lake if you are trying to choose between two of the nicest hotels in Branson.

Room Tip: Definitely ask to get a room that faces the lake, the view is great.
