We were here for a week in late June and it was hot. The pool was cool, though as expected it was very popular. The acivities people were nice and they had outdoor movies, snow cones, popcorn. Breakfast with the stars on monday morning was cool. Our family had a very enjoyable time here and my parents go here about a month a year. I didn't mark as excellent. Why: this isn't a 5 star property. Everything they do is solid and quality and the people are super nice. As I type this I decided to change to excellent. If you need luxury, you probably aren't going to Branson, so this is probably about as good as it gets.

We are timeshare owners. This was our first stay at Stormy Point in a 3 bedroom cottage with 4 adults and 2 children. Our entire experience could not have been better beginning with our reservations. Everyone went above and beyond to accomodate our wishes. The cottage was immaculate and well stocked with anything one might need. The entertainment for Breakfast With The Stars on Monday was great. Memorial Day Barbeque with live entertainment was very good. The only thing that would be better is if the patio had been screen enclosed, and if computer access had been available. Most of the timeshares we have stayed have the enclosed patios which makes it much more pleasant not being bothered by bugs. Any issues we had or anything we needed, someone was there to take care of it immediately. I would recommend this property to anyone. AWESOME Stay!

Room Tip: We asked for a unit that faced the woods and the request was given. Steps might be a problem for some. We, also, asked for parking off the street.

I couldn't quite give this resort a 4 in the rating. I would give the cottage a 4 but the resort in general a 2. A 3.5 would be the most I could give.

The cottage- We found the interior design pleasing but we were in a cottage that was a little tired around the edges. The New England feel was comfortable. Everyones feet got black when walking around - I think the floors just need a good stripping and redo. They provided a hard wood floor mop that I used to mop most of the areas, but it still did not help. The kitchen was well stocked, I even made freezer jam out of fresh picked blackberries. I did not find it as clean as it could be - ice cube bin was filthy, whirlpool bath had debri in it, large amount of mold on the inside of the shower curtain and of course the floors. The exterior porches had many cobwebs, grass clippings and grill needed a major clean before us. All units have a grill but it is an electric George Foreman grill. Parking was very tight with all of the units, if you didn't have a designated space with your cottage, it was street parking without much clearance- it seemed if there were more than one car for the unit, people were finding it difficult to find a space. All of the TVs worked well. AC was adequate. If you can't not do stairs, make it known. The interior stairs are 2 flights, which aren't bad, but you could be stuck with steap stairs on the outside which makes it difficult to carry luggage etc. - request a ground level unit with no exterior stairs.

The resort- It really lacked amenties. The activity staff tried hard to do what they could with the space they had available. They did have 2 nights of live music at the pool, which was nice. But the pool is extremely inadequate in size for the number of cottages. There were so many people piling into to it in the afternoon and early evening.I think we counted more around 175 cottages, but the pool was no bigger than my in-laws backyard inground pool. There were far too many people in the pool. I was concerned about the ability to keep it sanitizied. The first day we went it was murky and I couldn't even see their emblem on the bottom. The next time we went early in the day and it was clear and we could see the emblem. They had an indoor pool but it was also tiny and mostly it seemed that the older adults congregated there because of the mayhem in the outdoor pool with the kids. The hot tub outside was also small - 5 people made it crowded. They tried to put in as many deck chairs as they could, so the seating was very tight, if you could find a seat.So you should go to the pool early in the day if you want to have an enjoyable swim. They did have a zero entry pool for the tiny tots with a mushroom. I took many pictures but forgot about the pool area - the ones on their site are exaggerated to make the pool area look larger. The bar area was small but nice and they hiad a nice poolside grill menu. To get to the dock you had to walk out of the resort and walk on a road really not meant for pedastrians to get to the dock area - it is not attached directly to the property. Internet in the cottage was not free - another drawback - $25 per week- even Motel 6 has free wi-fi, get with them times! Free wifi was available in the main building if you wanted to do that.

The only playground might as well have been non-existent. It had 1 tire swing, an old tether ball and 2 sit on animals for the littlest kids. Walking around on the roads with kids was a challenge as it was very hilly, poor visibility around all of the parked cars. It would not be good for bike riding, skateboading, etc. It was so hilly that they used weekwackers to mow.

It was close to Silver Dollar City and Table Rock Dam area. The staff were nice and accomodating. We were able to check in early. We had an excellent response by maintenance when are youngest locked 2 doors and we were unable to get them open. They came quickly as we had an appointment and got things open for us. Did not really have a business center but allowed us to print from a printer at the front desk.

Timeshare sales pressure- we limited it. We are already owners elsewhere so we know the gig. We were thinking about listening to what they had to say, but they required you to give them $20 to reserve your seat. They want you to come but they want you to give them money? Who knows what your plans are when you are checking in, but they want to pin you down - we couldn't commit and they left us alone.

It has potential if it would just develop more amenities, especially the pool area. Maybe the greedy developers could have eliminated a cottage or 2 to allow for a larger pool area. Maybe something is planned, but they need it now.

We go to Branson for Table Rock Lake, not so much for all the Branson entertainment and shows. We take our pontoon boat and jet ski, which is one of the primary reasons we like staying at Stormy Point Village. Table Rock is an awesome lake, too huge to see it all in a week. Stormy Point has a dock nearby with slips for $15 per day. And the accomodations at Stormy Point are excellent. This year (June 2-9) was our 4th time to stay at Stormy Point in the last 6 or 7 years. We love the decor - nautical, Cape Cod-ish, cheerful color schemes, totally pleasant. Each unit is a self-contained unit, which makes it feel like a home away from home for the week. Their motto is "Welcome home." Where we stayed was a 3-bedroom, 2-bath (2 br and bath upstairs and one downstairs). The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to cook the majority of our evening meals. The location is convenient to get around in Branson, whether choosing to avoid high-traffic areas or to purposely drive down the "strip." It is also close to Silver Dollar City, if that is on the week's agenda. We never tried the on-site restaurant so can't comment, but the staff was superb, going out of their way to be helpful. We appreciated the security staff at the drive-in kiosk, who apparently alerted the check-in desk of our arrival, because when we walked in, they called us by name. Check-in was extremely efficient, cordial, friendly, and helpful. While they offered and encouraged us to attend a timeshare presentation and update, there was no high pressure to do so, which we greatly appreciated, having experienced the opposite at other resorts. We highly recommend Stormy Point Village.

Room Tip: Ask for walk-up or drive-up to the door. Some units require multiple steep steps and a lengthy walk to get from the car parking spot to the front door, which can be difficult, especially loading and unloading.

We came on a timeshare exchange, had never been to Stormy Point. It was great. Lobby staff was great; friendly and helpful. We did the sales visit, much to my regret. In a nutshell, we bought into the deal, $22,000 later, we wished we hadn't. THey say they are going to sell our other timeshare in Branson. We will see about that. If they do, I'll get back on here and sing their praises. WE are doubtful right now. I'm a little disappointed in the Summerwinds website, for traveling elsewhere, it just seems to direct me to other websites. It's weird. So buyers beware, just enjoy your week stay, because it is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: In the 2 bedroom, there was a bedroom and bathroom upstairs and down. Very roomy.
