“One of a kind resort - loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2011

Highlights:
Loved having our own 2 bedroom cottage - it was perfect for our group of 6.
Lovely, clean and well-kept - nice sized/generous rooms.
Enjoyed the back porch and also the outdoor electric grill at our cottage.
The photos on their website are great and it is exactly what we received.
Great off - street parking.
We felt extremely safe and enjoyed the "neighborhood" feel that Storm Point/Festiva created.
Outdoor pool was nice.

Lowlights:
Hot tub is outside and is very small - can only fit about 3 adults.
Indoor pool is small.

Room Tip: The majority of the cottages are street level, however, there are some cottages that are on the hill...

We arrive to a gated community early and are greeted by a friendly security guard, we check in early and sign ourselves up for several activities they have planned through out the week, and this was just on the first hour on the property. We have been to Stormy Point Village 2 other times and every time we go back it gets better. The staff is wonderful and the condo's are great quality with lots of extras. There is an on site bar, restaurant, gift shop, and pool. The restaurant has GREAT food and the bar has reasonably priced drinks. Twice a week they show an outdoor movie from the pool. We love it and hopefully can continue to return back several more times!

We spent a long weekend, Saturday through Tuesday, with our family of seven (six adults). We loved the individual cottage, which was clean and afforded us some privacy from surrounding guest lodging. The three bedrooms were great, allowing us to spread out. The kitchen was well stock with dishes and cooking utensils. The staff was very friendly. We would recommend for a family wanting to have access to Silver Dollar City and not wanting to be in the middle of the Branson strip.

We almost got hooked into the 90-minute presentation, despite reading is written on this site. When we learned the presentation was offsite on the Branson strip we came to our senses and did not participate. Would have ruined out experience.

The resort is located 5 minutes West of the Strip and about 10 minutes from Silver Dollar City - cannot do much better than that if you want to avoid the traffic. It is a gated community of free standing cottages a stone's throw from the lake. Overall, we were very pleased with this facility. Check in was a breeze with no sales pitch when it came time to pick up the parking pass.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit which was very nice. It was on the edge of the property so lacked a view (other than a rocky hillside from which the property had been hewn). The clubhouse is a bit small as is the pool but it appears the next phase will have a bigger facility. There were some day activities on site but for the most part we chose the facility for its location as well as the fact that it is fairly new and well cared for.

My only complaint is that the exercise facility does not open until 7 am. I am an early riser and like to run but the skunks kept me from running on site. The skunks disappear shortly after sunrise and reappear shortly after sundown - but it is Missouri and you are in the country so I guess that can be overlooked. I even got a chance to spot an armadillo. I am curious to see how it continues to develop and would definitely return in a couple years.

Room Tip: Request a cottage with off street parking

Our experience was one fiilled with the good, the bad, and the ugly. One thing I noticed reading through the comments was a similarity of 90 minutes turning into 3 and 1/2 hrs and the consistency of the lies perpertrated by the floor staff. This provides one reality for me, that being that the Corporate Office condones and facilitates the lies and their behavior. That said having purchased a unit based on lies and misrepresentations maybe we can make Lemonade out of our experience. Having not stayed at Stormy Pointe I cannot speak to the ammenities and the experience to be had. Instead I can only say the units we were shown seem to a place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing visit to Branson. I know that no organization can expect 100% approval of their patrons. Both parties in a contract however can expect truth of character in the representations made, and in those they represent. This is not the case and I notified out of state friends of my experience and on my suggestion they will be carrying a recording device to record their sales meeting. I am sure juding from the comments of others that the same lies and misrepresentations will be used again.

I don't want to make it seem that the quality of your product in misrepresented becauese this is not the case. I don't tnow if given the truth we would not have considered strongly Stormy Pointe I was not however alowed to make that choice instead we were decieved and led to sign a contract we feel is flawed in form and reality.

I will hope and pray that the future will outshine our past experience and we will enjoy many days at Stormy Pointe and Branson.

First time staying there may be our last. The staff was not at all friendly, snooty , I would say. We had wasps in the house and skunks on our doorstep every night , I have pictures to prove it! There was no where to sit and relax, the porch is a joke, with or without the skunks. The furniture is uncomfortable. It is off and way from everything so make sure you have everything you need before you head out there or you will use all your money in gas. The floors were dirty, the kids feet were black minutes after getting there. They told us it was a sealer they put on the floors, well that's just not right! We left a day early, I would have left soner but didn't want to cheat the kids out of a vacation. One plus the beds were good.

A resort community, 2.6 miles from the hustle and bustle of "the strip" in Branson, yet a short 7 minute drive will get you there. Facility offers activities for children and adults as well as what appears to be the best discounts on show and attraction prices in Branson. Nice pool and club house, access to lake, boat landing, pontoon boat rentals, movie nights on Wednesday and Friday, (movies are not first run). We stayed in a 3 BR 2 BA house. 2 BR had king beds, the other a queen. Since these are houses, not condos or hotel rooms, there is no room service per se, though that type of service is available if desired. Each house has dining for 8 or more, washer & dryer, stove, refridgerator, dishwasher, grill on back porch, flat screen tv in living area and flat screen tvs in all bedrooms. There are indoor and outdoor pools, workout rooms with various types of equipment.

Room Tip: Our house had a number of outside steps, many others had no outside steps. Ask if that is important...
