We visited Kirby VanBurch's Magic Show on August 12, 2010. Since his former wife Bambi left the show, we wanted to see what this man had to offer as a magician. After being harassed by a cheap hawker of trinkets from the stage to buy light sticks and stuffed tigers for 15 minutes the show began. Kirby's entrance on stage by any other magician I've seen would have been at least lively, but Kirby seemed to kill even his grand entrance. Through the entire program he didn't present even one original illusion, but copies of Henning, Copperfield and a variety of lesser magicians. His bander was so whimpy and slurred that I swear he was either drunk or drugged. And as if you'd expect, he does not greet or mix with his audience before or during the show. Every single illusion he performed was performed as if he was demonstrating how it worked rather than with any once of passion. Why this man ever got a single award is absolutely baffling, he is profoundly boring, creepy and talentless. Don't waste your money unless you're bored with the other shows in Branson, Kirby is pitiful.
