“Wonderful Experience!”

This is a wonderful place to stay. Spacious cabins perfect for a large family! The price was reasonable. I really enjoyed the activities like the breakfast with entertainment and the karaoke. The staff was also great!

Even though this property cannot compare to the level of quality of a Marriott, it is still a great place to stay in Branson. It is right off the strip, but feels tucked away in the woods. The trees provide a lot of shade to the property during the hot, sunny days. Our unit (#12) was right by the entrace, pool and lobby, but was remarkably quiet. The cabins have pretty much everything you would need for a week's stay and are decorated in a cozy, rustic, down-home theme. We loved our screened in porch with a porch swing and sitting area. The only negative things I can say about this property are that the TV's are old, the pools are small and there are few amenities. The fact that our cabin was free standing and private made up for anything this property was lacking. If you are looking for luxurious accomodations, this might not be a good choice for you, but if you are looking for a comfortable, down-to-earth Branson resort, you should consider the Cabins at Green Mountain. We would gladly return!

Room Tip: Some cabins are duplexes and some have provate hot tubs.

March can be cold in Missouri, so the outdoor pools were closed. We had a three bedroom that is really a two bedroom, with the master bedroom on the second floor with two twin beds on a landing outside the master bedroom. The second bedroom located on the first floor has a full bath that opens into the bedroom or the dining area. Full kitchen, hot tub on the screen porch (awesome!), screened in porch, full kitchen, etc. Two complaints. They "cabins" share walls and the family next door must have been hearing impaired because we heard their TV just fine. The second complaint is that they have "park like" grills that were a challenge to cook on. I'll bring a charcoal grill with me next time, which I noticed others had done also. We had a great relaxing time. I guess I have a third complaint. Wireless internet is only located in the office building, and there was not a comfortable place to sit and work. Froze to death, but they made coffee for me. Great friendly staff. Will definitely be a destination place for us.

The cabins were spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The back screened in porch was very large and nice. The cabin had a hot tub but we only used it once due to the high temperatures during our stay but it would be great in the fall or winter. Our porch faced other cabins but with all of the trees in the back we had complete privacy. Our cabin was a "duplex" cabin so we did have next door neighbors. We could never hear them when we were inside the cabin but one morning while enjoying breakfast at the picnic table on the screened in porch we had to go inside because they were smoking cigars and the smoke drifted over to our porch. The smell was horrible & the smoke was thick! Two members of my family have asthma so we had to hurry inside before it triggered them to have asthma attacks. There are cabins available that are individual units instead of duplexes; I would recommend that if smoking bothers you. There was a waterfall behind our cabin and a little stream. We noticed the waterfall one day after a heavy rain. The kitchen had all the pots, pans and utensils that we needed and we also used the washer and dryer. The only problems we encountered were the small pools. We like to swim a lot on vacation and both pools are very small. One of them is smaller than our above ground pool that we have here at home. The larger pool was closed on a Friday around noon. We asked the front desk and they sent us to the Peppertree Thousand Hills which is 2 miles away. The front desk told us it was less than a mile away. We had to load up the van and drive there for the afternoon. The Peppertree Thousand Hills has a huge pool which was very nice so next time we would probably just stay there instead since swimming is high on our list when we vacation. Other than the small pools & porch smokers we highly recommend the Cabins at Green Mountain.

Room Tip: Request an individual unit if cigarette/cigar smoke bothers you!

We got there on a Friday from MS and low and behold the air was out. they got it fixed that afternoon and guess what out again on Saturday. Again they fixed it and I asked them is it fixed oh yes mam. Well it went out Saturday night and we had to get ready for church NO air and it was 99 degrees. It was terrible all they offered us was to move us it was five of us and I refused to have to move everthing when we were leaving Monday morning. I do not know what to tell you. I thank they should have offered a discount or a free night. Besides the Air not working pretty nice.

We loved the location, off the traffic path called the "Strip" but easy to get to everything. We loved the cabin layout, A large, separate structure with two bedrooms up and downstairs, full kitchen, laundry, screened in full width back porch, hot tub, water jet and body jet tub/shower, beautiful wood everywhere, old forest trees completely surrounding the cabin almost (the parking area was mostly treeless hehe). We visited with two teenage grand girls. Two FULL baths for each bedroom was extremely nice.

Had a few problems like the A/C. We did visit in what might be the hottest time of the year. Our A/C would not cool the cabin below about 77-79 - mostly was around 85 during the heat of the day. That was just too hot for us. It kept freezing up and stopping. Had a tech called in and he charged the unit and tweaked some settings but was overall not a solution. We did manage but could have been a lot better. Perhaps the way the cabin had a 15 foot ceiling had something to do with it, beautiful but has to be hard to cool especially for the upstairs bedroom. Did cool down outside in the evenings and the cabin likewise would cool down to the 79 range which was cool enough for sleeping.

The pool was tiny and I knew going in it was not very big, and it was not a primary concern until we had the heat in the cabin problem and wanted to cool off in the pool. Had a number of kids that totally monopolized the pool while we were there and that was that.

You also need to know this is a timeshare-type business and as such you must be ok with things like no maid service other than a mid-week towel exchange. We were ok with that as we have rented from other timeshares and do not mind the lack of daily maid service, in fact we prefer.

Wi-Fi was marginal downstairs but less than marginal in upstairs bedroom.

I have a movie I posted on YouTube.com of the cabin @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sj7qYFLo6GA&feature=youtube_gdata

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay At the Cabins at Green Mountain this past week. The staff is very friendly and helpful even with giving hot fishing spots. It was just out of the way of all the busy stuff from the strip and just perfect for us. There was stuff for the kids to do everyday if you wanted and of course the pools which my kids used everyday when we was at the cabin. The cabins had everything you needed to cook a meal and then even had everything there to clean-up your mess when done. If I had one word to say about The Cabins of Green Mountain is CLASS-ACT.
