This is a fun country restaurant in the IMAX complex- so you can eat a good country dinner before a show. There is also a lot of shops in the same complex. The night we were there it was only a 3 minute wait to sit down and service was good. Don't expect gourmet food, but quality was fine

This is our favorite place to eat in Branson, MO. We NEVER miss eating here when we are there. The food is - for lack of a better word - AWESOME! Homemade everything. We have yet to find a dish we did not like. Their cornbread is - mouthwateringly, melt-in-your-mouth, DELICIOUS! We particularly love the pot roast, chicken fried steak, and catfish, of course. The pies? Well, so many, you will want to have some of each! The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful!

And, there is a surprise, too! A table, but I won't tell you which one, rises so slowly during a group's meal, they don't notice it at first. But, the expressions on their faces as it rises almost to an adult's chin is priceless, and everyone has a huge laugh over it. Regulars know not to let them sit at that table. We were offered one day, but we laughed and told them we knew what it was. They laughed with us, and showed us a nearby table. The reactions are fun to watch, too! Tour groups do show up here in buses. But, don't let that deter you. You might have to wait on days like that, but usually they have an area reserved for buses. The staff is excellent, and never fails to come through for us. Quite frankly, we don't do tours, because we had rather go where we want, when we want, and eat wherever we want. If you can afford to come with a friend, I suggest this.

DON'T FORGET TO ORDER THEIR FRIED GREEN TOMATOES! They are sooooooo good! Fattening, yes, but hey! You're on vacation, so don't sweat it! The longest we have ever waited for a table was 15 minutes - even at the busiest of times. There is something for everyone! The food is excellent, the service excellent, and more than that the price is right!

And, while you are waiting, you receive a buzzer, and that lets you wander through the stores, buy tickets to the IMAX movies and blockbusters. When it buzzes, go get your meal!

This restaurant was one of our stops on our bus trip to Branson. We ordered off the menu and the food was good, came hot, but nothing out of the ordinary, keeping in mind they offer home-cooking. There was one quite entertaining and weird moment. We had a table of 6 people across from us and they were having a good time, laughing and carrying on and there was a really short lady in that group. Then I thought I was seeing things -- it seemed like the short lady was either shrinking or slipping off her chair. Just as I was going to say something, I noticed that the tall guy sitting beside her also appeared to be slipping down! Then I realized that the same was happening to all 6 people at that table!!! Well, here this is a "trick" table which slowly rising, and all of us around that table were noticing this. We all had quite a laugh. That was pretty neat! Our server came over and said they have that table to see people's reaction. Sort of like Candid Camera!!

This is a big restaurant and apparently a lot of tour groups are funneled here as a result. It seems like the entire second floor is set up for large groups. There are very limited food selections if you are with a group. Service was poor and you never seem to see the same server twice, so if you ask for something you probably won't get it. Honestly the best part of the meal was dessert. If you aren't with a group I would recommend going elsewhere; if you are with a group, urge your leader to find somewhere else if possible.

I traveled with the Moostash Joe Tour and when our bus of 38 people arrived, McFarlains had lost our reservation. They were not ready for us and so we had to wait at least 20 minutes to get seated. Although, it didn't help that a few other buses were also there. They were extremely busy. But, when we finally sat down and ordered, we waited and waited and waited. Our waitress did apologize and brought out some corn bread for us. Then the food arrived, on top of it being cold, mom found a hair in her food. Needless to say, we lost our appetite and didn't finish our meal. I do have to say, customer service is spot on, we got our meal for free. Our waitress was very pleasant and nice and I know she was very stressed with as many customers that she had. We did give her a nice tip.
