“Come hungry!”
Reviewed February 2, 2013 via mobile

A great find. The exterior will make the faint heart think twice but once you go through the door, you might find yourself in a different time. What a friendly staff and owner of this place. Order food in modesty or come hungry, they really know how to feed you at reasonable price. Will be going at this place at every opportunity given. The place is small so if you are more than 4, call. Oh and they accept cash only. Love a place where things are not corporate and the service is genuine. And I have no problem in leaving a tip of 18% unlike our genius pastor of St. Louis:)!

“MMMMM.”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

About as good as breakfast fare gets. They have achieved fame through a semi recent southern living article, and it is always packed. They do take reservations and I do recommend making them. no joke, the pancakes are the biggest I've ever seen. one is enough for two people to split.

“Good and fun”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

First, you would not even know this is a restaurant because it is an old gas station. And I mean old.

Second, you would pass right by it if you were hungry and you knew you could get breakfast there.

However, it was recommended to us by our concierge at the Marriott and we went. Lucky I had a GPS with me or we would have passed by.

It is a very unusual place. No matching furniture, small waiting area and one bathroom. There are all kind of collectibles about the place. Makes you glad that you are not a country girl. Doing wash in those days was a chore and a half!

So, I ordered the routine bacon, eggs, potatoes etc. a little boy ordered chocolate chip pancakes. What a surprise they were. A huge pile that hung over the side of the plate they were so big. We all had a chuckle.

There is a wait time so go before you get seriously hungry or early. The line is amazing and there is no parking. But, the food is darn food and it is one amazing experience.

Cash only.

Food good and place is fun

Hands down, best breakfast in Branson! Well worth the wait. Nice people and great food! Can't wait to go back! Don't forget to check out the gift shop with mostly local made goodies!

“home of "over-sized" pancakes”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

an "old-time", "homey" restaurant atmosphere. - looks to be housed in an old, side-of-the-road gas station. - i've only gone for breakfasts. - it is "home-grown" food. - the pancakes literally hang over your plate (they are normal serving plates). - i suggest you order only one pancake, unless you are exceedingly hungry or have several other you can share with. - you'll not be disappointed !!
