This was the worst dining experience we have ever had in Branson. Don't waste your money. It would be better spent at a fast food chain.

As a Branson resident, let me beging by saying if you enjoy their "homemade" cooking, may I suggest you start buying your food from the same Sysco truck that delivers their "hot out of grandma's oven" cobbler. Now on to the staff. As an employee in Branson I work with the public and once spoke with a group of elderly woman who were on a bus tour and were in tears from being yelled at by the staff for opening the door to long. I'm all for supporting mom and pop type business but when customers are leaving in tears?!?!?! Thankfully the Branson Landing has several restaurants for visitors to choose from without being made to feel like they are a nusciance.

Although billed as "child friendly", this restaurant is not family friendly. Our family of five entered the restaurant on a recent trip to Branson and the hostess looked taken aback at the number. She suggested that we split up - since we're two parents with three children under ten, the idea had no appeal. She then told us it would be a long wait before a table could made available - this despite the fact that many tables were empty and in other places, we've had staff quickly put two small tables together.

We left and went across the street to The Branson Cafe, a long time favorite and enjoyed a great meal and no hassle over the number in our party.

My parents went to the Farmhouse and were asked if they would "mind" sitting with another couple! Needless to say, they did and also went somewhere else.

I won't walk through their doors again!

We must of hit this place on a bad day. They looked peeved when two families entered (a total of 7 people, two of them under 8) and would not allow us to seat at one table; rather, the two families were separated across the restaurant--which was largely empty. The preparation of the food took too long (more than 20 minutes) and some of it arrived cold. This was a low-point during our trip to Branson. Eat at McFarland's for some really excellent service and down-home cooking.

The best meal on the trip. Real down home honest to God restaurant food. Great country fried steak and pulled pork barbeque. Cozy downtown location was packed buy very worth the wait. Top the meal with an apple dumpling. You will not find a better meal in Branson.
