Tucked away on West Main Street, just above an awesome little five & dime store, lies a true gem...and if you blink or turn your head as your travel down the street towards the landing, you may have lost it without evening knowing what you passed up.
As soon as you enter the door to Main Street Alley, you know right away you have happened upon a few fellows who take pride in their craft and just know good food. A nice overhead menu sways in black board style with neon colors to give it some flair. The aroma of their subtle seasoning binding to their freshly made chips finds its way to tease your taste buds, and before you have even had a chance to really take in the menu, your mouth is watering for what will be a perfect burger experience.
The staff is knowledgeable about their menu and their product, which should be a given, but apparently around Branson, this is not the case. So thumbs up for that Jimmy!
The place was a little slow, and there isn't much room to sit & eat, but that's the point. Get in, get your food, and get out and enjoy the rest of what The Landing has to offer. There are little trinkets and some well placed souvenirs to take home, along with a fantastic variety of local jellies and rubs.
On to the food though, you will find that regardless of your appetite, Main Street Alley aims to satisfy in portion and taste. My wife ordered a Chicken Wrap, the chicken was tender and juicy, and the taste was something you rarely find in a wrap. I, in my obsession with burgers, failed to take a picture of it, but it was neatly placed in a basket accompanied by their signature chips.
Now the main event...the Black Angus Bacon Cheeseburger. You guys NAILED IT!!! This IS how a burger is done. A perfectly toasted bun that lie beneath a well seasoned patty, layered with a couple of slices of American Cheese (my choice), lettuce, tomato, pickles, and red onion. There is the option to double this bad boy up, but I don't see that to be necessary as one patty will do ya just fine.
Thanks for a great burger and excellent service. Best of luck to you guys, and we will be back to visit every time we return to Branson.
