After viewing negative reviews, our family was very pleased on our lodging for 4 nights. We stayed in a spacious 1 bedroom condo and had an end unit. The unit was very clean and much larger than we anticipated. As we preferred a large condo with no daily housekeeping to choosing a different hotel with a much smaller room with housekeeping, we simply went to the front desk to exchange towels and get any other supplies that were needed. It was no big deal to drive 1 minute to the swimming pool that some people complained about in other reviews. Walls in the condo were thin, but that is the case in most hotels too. Other families we met were also very pleased with their accomodations. We were informed about the time share presentations upon check-in and were told to simply contact them if interested, but we never did. Staff was very polite and helpful.

it's very dissapointing to see impressive pictures of a resort only to be let down. The Plantation at Fall Creek was no where near what it is portrayed to be. The overall aura of this place was cheap, plasticky and substandard.

TO NAME JUST A FEW OF THE ISSUES... The decor and furniture were outdated, the veneer was pealing off of the bathroom cabinets, there were plaint splatters on the tile floor in the bathroom, there were no kleenexes, no extra toilet paper, two towels (total), there was no mattress cover on the bed (and let's just say the mattress was less than desirable), the blinds were cheap metal blinds that were rusting in the corners (and provided no block to the sun at 6 in the morning) I could go on, but I digress.

That said, don't stay here. There are hundreds (literally) of other affordable places to stay in Branson that are far better.

Upon arrival, we were very excited as the "resort" looked very nice. I am an owner through RCI, and the depiction of Sunterra through RCI is very very deceving. It boasts or 5 large outdoor pools, a restaurant, lake, etc. We really found out that the pools are very small for repsrt standards, the restaurant is actually a "buffet" that serves 2-3 items at breakfast and lunch only. Since we are owners, we thought the studio we booked would have been pretty nice. However, the mini-college-sized fridge did not work, and we had to throw all of our cold food away. After making three phone within 4 hours, someone finally came to look at the fridge. He stated that it is only a cooler and not a fridge. Oddly enough, there was a huge chunk of ice in the freezer area that was so large it could no be taken out. Wow. That is pretty nuts for a cooler. After that, we were switched to a newer studio, which was more roomy with a pull out couch and updated furniture, etc.
The staff was extremely friendly. Overall, we were very disappointed since this place was built up to be something that it wasn't. At most, I would call this a cheesy resort- maybe!!!

If you read other review, you do get the general idea that there are probably better places to stay in Branson.

Good points - very big 2 bedroom condo, good location, good pool and clubhouse with plenty of things to do.

Bad points - 'paper-thin walls', to the point where not only can you hear the neighbors upstairs, but you can hear neighbors talking from the next building over. Problems with insects and spiders and management indifference to correcting those issues. Stairs for the building we were in were in bad shape to the point of being dangerous (we did see where a couple of buildings where the stairs were being demolished and reconstructed.)

We had a wonderful time at the resort. We booked our trip on Orbitz. We utilized the concierge to purchase tickets for Dixie Stampede. (I would highly recommend this show!) We were a little thrown off by the 90 minute presentation to buy a timeshare. I did not realize it would take over two hours. And it became a tad pushy once we said no. We would definately not have said yes to the presentation if we had known it would be so time consuming and aggressive. Our children were very bored while we were in the meeting. We were upset that we took that time away from their vacation But we really liked our one bedroom condo. It provided us with a place to kick back and eat breakfast and lunch instead of hitting a restaurant for every meal. We would definately recommend this resort for family's!! The kids loved the pool and miniature golf. We had to drive to the pool, but that was soooo not a big deal at all!!! And it really was only minutes to the strip. We didn't have any of the bad experiences that the other people talked about. Our condo was clean and very nice. And well equipped.

Our family of 5 (2 Adults, 2 Children and one senior relative) stayed in a 1st floor two bedroom the week before Christmas. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and square footage of the room. The kitchen was well stocked with new appliances and the large dining room table was great when friends came for lunch. Although we didn't use them, the screened porches would be a great perk with warmer temperatures.

We do have to agree with the previous reviews on the 'paper thin' walls at the resort. At night we could hear the upstairs neighbors and their children coming in at all hours of the night and literally running up and down the stairs. The indoor pool was a nice size, but the hot tub was a huge disappointment (way too small) and the pool restrooms/showers were flithy.

Even with the negative comments made above and the reviews of others, we will return to the same place on our next trip to Branson. Overall, we were happy with the room, cost, and location.

Recently stayed here in a one bedroom studio. We are Sunterra owners in Hawaii, and thought we would see what they had locally, since it is under two hours away, we thought what the heck.

The front desk staff is extremely courteous and professional.

We went to the room and thought, OK, its small, but we expected better, not only because we were Sunterra owners, had to take the tour etc., but we thought if they wanted us to buy something, wouldn't they put us in the best accomodations?

Minor things, hair dryer didn't work, not that I need to worry about that, but my wife does - maintenance staff extremely prompt courteous and efficient. Cabinets all showed signs of delamination. Also you needed a PhD to figure out how to use the HVAC.

Major things. Every light in the entire complex was on 24x7. It was like sleeping under klieg lights in Manhattan. Buildings showed significant hail damage - as a resident of Missouri, the last major hailstorm we had was in May.

Most major thing. Walls are PAPER THIN. If the family next door with the unsupervised at risk kids were whispering, you could hear them. Unfortunately they weren't. It was so bad we packed up and went home.

We were on the top floor. I suppose if you had a top floor two bedroom unit it would be OK, but I don't think that I would chance it again.
