You can take a nap. If you want to see pretty scenery go take a drive around the side roads of Branson. You will see more. All you see is trees and rocks when you ride the train. You can go down hwy 65 and see more beauty. If you just want to ride a train it's fine. If your going looking not scenery your not going to see any. Very poor, all it is is just a train ride. The scenic in the name is misleading. It should be Branson Railway. Theirs nothing scenic about the ride. It's just a train ride. You go down one way and come back the same way, what you saw on the way down, you'll see the same on the way back, trees and tree tops and rocks.

Did the dinner excursion for our anniversary. Had a very enjoyable time but wished they had explained that we would be sharing a table with another couple. It turned out to be fine, the other couple was very nice. But would have been even nicer and more romantic if we could have been by ourselves! Guess they can not accommodate a table for two! Dinner was pretty good but not exceptional. The train travels about an hour out then reverses and returns. It was difficult to see things out the windows as they were not as clear as they could have been. I realize that this is an old train but part of the reason we wanted to do this was to see some nice scenery!! They did give each woman a rose to commemorate the occasion, which was a nice touch. Did it once, but would not do it again!

It's impossible to see past the trees most of the time. The train itself was interesting, and the staff was helpful and polite.

I was looking forward to seeing some beautiful scenery, but was very disappointed to just see rocks on 1 side and trees right against the tracks on the other. where the train stopped and headed back to the station was pretty, but the rest of the trip you couldn't see anything for the thick trees. Might be pretty in the fall when the leaves are gone. not worth the money!

We took our 10 year old son for what we hoped would be an exciting train ride. He has always loved trains. Well, honestly he was bored. There wasn't much to see other than trees and a few old remains of a couple towns. We did go through two tunnels which were neat.

Our train went south to Arkansas. I think there's one that goes north too. We did get a seat in the "bubble" so we could look all round us. But, you go for so long one way and then stop and go back the way you came. My husband took a nap on the way back.

They do have supper trains and a Polar Express version around the holidays. Maybe those would be more exciting. There was a snack car so you could get drinks and a treat. But, overall, it was kind of a snooze fest for us.
