“Yakov, therapist not entertainer”
Reviewed December 5, 2013 via mobile

This is the one show that in Branson that was the most disappointing and least entertaining. We came to be entertained by a well known comedian not to be counseled about relationships, hear someone dwell upon his past/ex-wife, or be squished in seating and try to eat. He even admitted to focusing on his new variety show. Plus it was suppose to have a Christmas theme but there was no Christmas component to it. Will not see it again and considers this to be overpriced and a waste of money.

We went to the show last spring and it was great as was the dinner. In Nov we made another trip and went to Yakov Dinner Show. She dinner was good, but we were a little disappointed in the show. It was entirely Yakov and no other show. He, for the most part, sat in a chair and did the show. Gave some good advise on relationships. I am very glad that we had no grandchildren with us this time as it would have been boring for them.

“Yakov, something the cat left behind”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

The show was a disappointment. The comedy was great, all 15 minutes of it. The rest would have been better as a self help seminar. The whole magnet/relationship spiel could have been narrowed to 15 minutes of the show to be tolerable. The dinner conversation was staged, I was given a question to ask... Perhaps Yakov's desire to have fun has worn off and he should stick to teaching.

Dinner was nothing like the pictures I can assure you of that. The seats were uncomfortable and the table did not fit over a larger belly. I didn't come for the dinner but had hoped for entertainment. I left feeling cheated. I would write more but I do not want to waste more time on him.

“Still Funny”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

Yakov is still a good comedian who has a message for us. You might call him a modern day Mark Twain. The show is no longer a musical production or multiple variety acts. Its mostly Yakov imparting his wisdom and experiences to the audience. His patriotism is apparent and his humor is quick.

The dinner experience was not outstanding. The food was luke warm and average at best. If you are looking for a gourmet experience this doesn't qualify.

I'm glad I saw his show when it was closer to its peak about eight years ago.

“To Yakov, please retire, you are obviously not interesred in doing the Yakov Smirnof character anymore”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

Yakov is done with the show that made him famous. He is bored with it, and only gives about 15 minutes of 'Yakov'. The remainder of the show is a lecture from 'professor yakky'. It is a rip-off. He should retire the act, it was fun, but he don't want to do it anymore. All so the show has zero production value. He did change costumes once, from a blue silk suit to a brown silk suit, same shoes, boringgg. Joke. But truth. He is stealing money by lying to the public. Considering the premise of the current show it should be retitled 'An evening with selfish professor art salesman'. Yakov, you should be ashamed of yourself and you owe us a refund and an apologie!!!
