My family from Slidell/N'awlins . Food was good - we had the gumbo (lots of shrimp & crab) their's is more of a soup E'touffe, Creole, Catfish and Boudin. The potato salad was just like grannys. Best was the Beignets so save room for dessert. Small mismatched dining room but you're not there for fancy dining you're there for good cajun food.

Excellent cajun food. Friendly service.
True cajun food.
Love the atmosphere.
This is a southern cajun delight with a southern hospitality kind of place. This isn't a hoyty toyty type atmosphere. So if your the type of person who needs to eat out of fine China and drink champagne this may not be for you. Your beer will be in a bottle and your water too. Yes they have plastic ware but are you there to eat the plate or the food? Think about it. Read the reviews you will read way more great reviews than bad. This food is bursting with flavor. Don't take my word for it just try it.
We drive 2 hours to eat there. We give it two thumbs up.

Being foodies this is some of the best cajun food ever. I have enjoyed New Orleans food as well in the past. The Crazy Cajun Kitchen is not only friendly but the food is every bit as awesome as we have had in New Orleans. You wont be sorry. They were very busy tonight as past times weve been there. Folks keep coming back for a reason. We met a couple who was just there last night and came back again. We drive 2 hours just to eat here. Check it out!!!!! One word Awesome. If they were open tomorrow we would be back. :)

We had a large group (10 adults) that met for Father's Day lunch. We ate on the porch. Nice breeze and ceiling fans made for a very pleasant outdoor eating experience. We all tried different items and everything was delicious. Entree prices were up to $9.99. Large portions. For non-spicy patrons there are chicken strips and catfish. Wish they had homemade dressings and tartar sauce, but premade was ok. Bottled water, sodas, tea. Cornbread muffins were great, but wish there had been some crusty bread. Beignets were fine, but don't expect Cafe Du Monde. These were more like pieces of funnel cake. Still good, there weren't any left. Bread pudding was delicious as was the peach cobbler. Gave an average rating for families with children since menu choice is limited. Special occasion also average. This is not a fancy place. Looks like a mom and pop place you'd find down in the bayou. We'll plan to eat here again.
