This was our second stay at the Village. We like it for its convenience to an annual event we attend next door at Rock Lane. These apartments are nice and easily accommodate two couples with the two bedrooms and two baths. Only complaint this time was a very pungent odor, which we suspect was from attempts to clean the extensive carpet stains. This had not been a probably on our first stay two years ago.
We brought our two young sons and our lab and the resort was very accomodating. Very clean condos, lovely views, indoor pool facility and game room were a little small but very modern and nice. Awesome deck and easily accessible to parks, lake and shopping.
The rooms were nice and had a rustic cabin atmosphere. The location was very close to Silver Dollar City, so we had very quick access to the park. There were a few minor details with housekeeping that were disappointing, but overall it was a pleasant stay for our family.
We rented a two bedroom/two bath condo. Our condo was lower level. The carpet was filthy and needed to be replaced or cleaned. There were dead insects in almost every room. Whoever was above us had a barking dog that started very early in the morning, and we could hear all foot-traffic above us that went until nearly midnight every night and started early around 5-6am. The business office hours are 9-5, so if you want coffee or necessities, you are out of luck if it isn't within those hours. I was told by the front desk to launder my towels in the provided washer/dryer (I have to purchase the detergent) instead of getting new towels at the front desk, as I would have been able to had we stayed at any motel for half the price. Vacation is supposed to be about relaxation, we go on vacation to get a break from housecleaning!
We rented two condos for Aug 4-8th. The condo units were very nice, clean, and comfortable. They were also well stocked with kitchen utensils, towels, etc. We had a beautiful patio with a great view. The only downfall was that there is no boat ramp at this location and so we had to rent a slip a little ways away that we were unable to walk to. Besides the access to water, this was a great location. It is on the same road as Silver Dollar City, so it was very close to Branson.
We just got back from spending 5 nights at the Village. It is everything that we expected. We had four of us (2 teenagers), and had plenty of room with the fold out sofa sleeper. The units are fully stocked with anything one would want in a home away from home. Our unit had a full size washer and dryer as well.
The location is about 10 minutes away from the Branson "strip". Close enough to easily get in and our when we wanted to catch a show. We were very glad to not be in the "chaos" of the city but able to relax and have a nice vacation. The staff are friendly and helpful.
We had only two minor issues: the towels and wash cloths are cheap and very rough. We ended up using our extra beach towels after showers and then laundrying them. Also, the units are not "right on the lake". The property does have a cove and dock, but the actual condos are farther away from the water than we expected. Still just a short walk though.
Overall a great place to stay and we will go back.
