We stayed in the deer stand cabin. The cabin was clean and well maintained. Kitchen was well equipped with all the necesary amenities, appliances, dishes, etc. The “fire pit” was just an old washing machine tub in the gravel drive near the front porch, not actually in the woods as I was expecting, however it was too hot to sit around a fire during our stay so it didn’t really matter. Front porch view was of the neighboring trailer, but the BACK porch felt like you were out in the woods miles from civilization. It was wonderful! The listing is not clear as to the sleeping accommodations. There is one king bed in each of the bedrooms and the two rustic couches in the living room open up into queen beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. My only “complaint” (if you could call it that) is that there is only the one shower in the upstairs bathroom. The downstairs has the Jacuzzi but no shower. This made for a bottleneck with four adults trying to get ready to go every morning, and is the ONLY reason I am not rating this wonderful cabin a full four stars. David is a wonderful host and a good man and I highly recommend staying in either of his two cabins. For what you get, the price is unbeatable.
