We were trying to find a mid-range hotel in Branson, and looked at the usual suspects — Holiday Inn, Best Western, Hampton Inn. But then we decided to splurge a little and go to a B&B. We selected the Branson House and called them on the phone. Wow! I’ve never had a businessperson be so accommodating when I called. The Innkeeper, Dale, drew us in just from his phone conversation. But when we arrived, our expectations were exceeded.
The house is beautifully restored, and tastefully furnished. Dale had given us the best rooms in the house. We were in the Presidential Suite, which was spacious and luxurious. Our friends were in the Honeymoon Suite. All rooms have private baths with vessel sinks and beautifully tiled showers. The Presidential Suite additionally had a soaking tub for two. I believe that all rooms have king beds, except one. The house features an elegant living room, dining room, & kitchen. There’s even a full-length front porch with chairs to enjoy the view. There are always snacks out, and cold drinks including bottled water for the taking. And the Innkeepers are very friendly, and want your stay to be exceptional. Dale even got us tickets to a show that we wanted to see (“Six”) at about half the price that we had paid for the advance reservations we had made to the other shows. So save your money and go through Dale to get your tickets. We sat in the fifth row!
Additional advice: Be sure to see "Joseph" at the Sight and Sound Theater. It was definitely the BEST, and probably the best production I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot!). "Six" is also extremely good. Dolly Parton's Stampede Christmas Show was not worth the time or money.
