Castle Rock Resort & Waterpark

When you figure the cost to do things in Brandon you'll realize this is the best deal going. We use the water park 3 or 4 times daily it is much nicer than the other indoor water park hotel in town. Rooms are clean but small and plain overall our favorite place to stay

Not worth it! You don't even actually stay AT the hotel, but at an older motel building next door, across the parking lot. They don't tell you that when you book. I would have stayed somewhere nicer and less expensive, and then just purchased the water park passes if I had known. The staff were friendly though! Either way, never again!

We decided last minute to take a quick vaca to Branson over the 4th of July holiday and decided to stay at this hotel because it had a waterpark included. The waterpark was outstanding for my kids ages 3,8, and 11. It had multiple slides and play areas inside and out for the kids to enjoy, and also included a lazy river. The life guards were constantly moving and keeping an eye on all of the areas and made sure no rough play was happening.

We stayed in the main building of the complex where the waterpark was located. The room we stayed in was a basic suite with bunk beds for the kids and 2 double beds. It was a small room. Not sure if you've ever tried to sleep 2 adults in a double bed, but it's not very easy to say the least, and we are not large people. My husband and I ended up sleeping in separate beds, the two older kids were in the bunk bed, and the youngest was on a pallet on the floor. The bathroom was just the bathtub and toilet, the sink and mirror area was located outside the bathroom and in the suite room. The whole room needed a fresh coat of paint as the walls were marked up. It was clean though and the hotel staff were helpful and nice.

The hotel restaurant was a disappointment. We had breakfast on a morning that the main cook had gone home sick and the pancakes were hard like frisbees. Needless to say we did not try any other meal at the hotel.

Overall, it was a decent place to stay for Branson. Driving around and seeing what some of the other hotels offered, I'd say we were in a mid-range level hotel. Location was excellent, close to everything without being right on the main strip.

My family and I stayed at the Castle Rock hotel for the first time during the July 4th week. We were all very impressed with the hotel and waterpark. We opted for the Tower room over an Atrium room. The room was larger than I had expected; and, the kids loved having their own sleeping area and TV in the bunk bed cubby.

The pool area was great. There is a large area for the kids that's only 1-ft deep. This area has several kiddy slides, a tree that sprays water and a large bucket that dumps water. There are also two large slides that are very fun. It was nice to relax and float along the lazy river; but, it did get rather crowded at times.

There were several lifeguards on duty at all times in the pool area. They were actively watching the swimmers and constantly walking around observing. The Castle Rock went beyond my expectations with simmer safety.

We ate at the tower grill a couple of times. We had a large pizza for lunch one day, and while it wasn't earth shattering, it was quite tasty and a nice change from Pizza Hut and Papa Johns. You get free refills on drinks all day if you keep your cup. The prices aren't higher than you would expect eating most other places in Branson with similar food; and, you don't have to fight the traffic.

Overall, we were quite pleased with our stay at Castle Rock in Branson. We plan to go back to Branson in the Fall and will be staying here again!

Room Tip: Keep your cup at the Tower Café...You get free refills all day.

We just left this establishment. It was mostly clean, but no fanfare. Maintenance is average. The elevators had pictures that were worn and loosened. The waterpark is likely only to be a draw for children who are much younger. It can be a bargain pricewise, but if you are looking for a place that is more resort-ish with a full gift shop, restaurant, arcade, etc., this is not that place. Yet, I would give kudos to the front office staff. They were extremely helpful and prompt at every turn. I was surprised that this place did not have a fitness center and that wifi could not be accessed in the rooms, that was a bit of a turnoff as well.

I gave this a four only because I feel it's more for families with little kids. My 6 year old and 11 month old had a blast. As adults, the two water slides were fun, but I think older kids might need more. My daughter loved the water slide and lazy river. It was cold and drizzly outside so the temperature controlled atmosphere was awesome! Another bonus was free use of life jackets from infant to adult. Our rooms (located across the parking lot) were super clean and looked recently updated. Price wise this was a steal. Any other hotel would cost the same and only have a pool so I considered the waterpark an added bonus.
