“Mickey puts on a great show!”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

From all of the shows and attractions we saw on this trip, Mickey Gilley put on the best one. He has started doing his living autobiography in music, singing his 17 number one hits, showing pictures and videoclips of different stages of his life, and basically telling the story in his own words directly to members of the audience. He also engages a talented band and singers with him. It was easily the most interesting and engaging show we saw.

“Very enjoyable two and one-half hours. Those who enjoy a trip down memory lane will not be disappointed.”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

After many trips to Branson and seeing many of the shows more than once, we were given free tickets to the Mickey Gilley Show. We were somewhat concerned as the description indicated an aging disabled Mickey Gilley would be sharing his life story. The show did not have the elaborate sets or multi-piece band, but we left saying we would have paid to see the show. Their were two lovely back up singers who made sure Mickey kept on schedule and did not over do physically, and their vocal additions were show stopping. Mickey walked onto the stage and stood to sing several songs, but also used a chair to maintain his stamina. I could not believe the tone and quality of his voice. He sang all 17 of his #1 hits, and his vocal strength seemed to increase as the show progressed. All the band members seemed to be skillful with their various instruments. This was a 2 1/2 hour show, and everyone seemed to enjoy it to the end.

“As great as ever! Unbelievable!”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

What a pleasant surprise! Sounds just like the old days- does the singing himself. Some older entertainers have someone else singing over their weakened voice- Not him! His voice is as strong as ever. Truly a wonderful show lasted over two hours Still has that devilish smirk with twinkling eyes. Sang all of his 17 #1 hits plus more.
