THe hills in the park are sometimes a little tough. It was Cowboy week and it was great to see the cowboy poets. The weather was nice till around 1pm then it got cold and rainy. I am really looking forward to the new roller coaster the Outlaw Run. It is suppose to open 2013. Looks amazing.

The entry price is a bit much if you don't want to do the rides. We went because they were having the Crafters Festival (six weeks in Sept. and Oct.) Excellent hand made items for sale!
We also attended the Silver Dollar Saloon show. Very Good. Sort of an old west melodrama,
can can girls, peanut shells on the floor sort of thing. The food was very expensive (as is the case in most attractions) but very good - especially the Tator Twirls with 7 different flavorings that you add yourself. We suggest you go to one of the information stations in Branson and get tickets at a reduced price.

We love this place. It is kept SO CLEAN. The food is great. This time we ate at the Wagon Wheel at the top of the park, and the BBQ chicken was GREAT. The workers in this park are so very friendly, even though dressed in that old time garb, they are always smiling whether hot weather or cold. We've been going here for 40 years and NEVER tire of it! Our son was in his stroller on his visit and now is ready to visit with his girlfriend! There is something for all ages at Silver Dollar City. This is a place that is very patriotic, raising the flag and honoring all veterans in the park in the morning before the ropes come down and the kids run down the hill to their favorite coaster. Ours is Powder Keg!

I have always heard that Silver Dollar was corny but it is really wonderful. It is not Disney!!! (Thankfully) My family and I went over Thanksgiving weekend and had a GR8 day! There is something for every age group: artsy shops, a huge play area and a theatre.

My 12 yr old nephew enjoyed the slanted house and the huge playhouse/ fort. My mother, husband and I enjoyed poking through the shops. (Many of the shops have live demonstrations.)

The theatre was the biggest surprise of all!!! After going to Disney and being royally disappointed with the "theatre" there, I didn't expect much. The play was rendition of "A Christmas Carol." This wonderful little gem of a play had lines from current children's movies interwoven. My nephew (along with the rest of us) greatly enjoyed this little twist on the classic.

We hit it on a perfect day - wonderful fall weather, not too many people. It's overpriced, but very nice.

There are only a couple of really good, fun rides - the rest are mediocre to boring - but those are really, really fun! We got to ride them a number of times as there was absolutely no lines. This is a park that attracts a much older crowd, especially during the fall when kids are in school.

The show were tremendous! Lots of great singing and fun comedy. There is also tons of little craft and artisan shops. Lots of fun. We spent over 8 hours there and it was worth every minute. When in Branson, this is a must do. It's definitely worth it.
