Cheap, yes. Quiet, yes. Clean, yes.
Mattress wrapped in plastic making me feel like I was drowning in a hot flash, yes.
Owner parked in handicap parking spot by the door without HC plates/placard, yes.
Owner did not move vehicle until he left even though front desk was aware that we needed the space, yes.
The front desk clerk just kind of giggled when she told me that it was the owners car in the handicap parking spot next to the door. He was seated in the same room, speaking to another employee. Close enough to hear the conversation going on at the front desk. I said that it was illegal for him to be parking there since his car did not have the plate or placard. Clerk just shrugged and giggled. It was the cheapest place in town, we HAD to be there and couldn't really afford anything else that particular day. I would rather slept in our tent in the cold than EVER staying at that particular Days Inn again! If you are going to have accessible rooms and parking spots, make sure they are accessible to those that need them.
