“tasty stuff”

food is so tasty ! will satisfy cravings for all things Americana!! location looks a bit dodgy and service is also a bit questionable ( only one cashier open and so bloody slow) but food makes up for it - will return!

“To go out of the way for!”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Have been here several times and never fails me (except when they run out of meat) which can happen by the end of the day.
The food is delicious my favorite is the pulled pork sandwich followed by brisket with cheesy fries.
The decor is simple but suits. Eating in is worth it just to see people take on the insanity wings.
Manager is always happy and full of energy very welcoming family run restraunt. Very well priced too.

“Good dry rubbed ribs, amazing beans!”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

We took a road trip to Penrith because I havent had good ribs since we were in Memphis last year (for the World BBQ Championships no less) so the level of expectation was high to say the least.

First thing, these ribs are dry rubbed which is traditional for Memphis so do not expect them to be slathered in sauce. They look dry but thats the way they are suppose to be (to be called Memphis ribs) but you get a choice of sauces to dip so use them if the dry rub isnt your thing.

Personally its nice to eat ribs without dripping sauce on myself and all over my hands and the meat was tender and tasty, easily came off the bone and were big.

Plus:
* Ribs were good, hubby liked his brisket and sides were plentiful and loved the beans. Gotta get the beans! We should have taken some beans home, they were that yummy. We also had a side of Mac & Cheese and coleslaw and drinks.

* Plenty of parking available. Street parking right outside and across the road is a big park with lots of parking as well.

* The staff were friendly and happy to chat or leave you alone to enjoy.

Cons:
* This is not a traditional dine in restaurant, its a take away with a few tables provided but the place is clean and neat and there is a big park opposite so in good weather, it would be nice to take out and eat in the park.

* For those that do eat in, which we did, plastic utensils and sides are in a foam coffee cup with lid and we are not given an extra plate to put your rib bones into.

Will I return.
I would like to come back to try the pulled pork and nachos and they now have burgers. Too many things on the menu to try and not enough room to fit everything. Wished we lived closer to try more of the menu

Good luck!
