Booked a table to eat there last Friday. We were very well received and made welcome. The food and service were excellent. Will definitely be returning.

“Worth a Visit”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

The Crown is a lovely, traditional inn located in the heart of the pretty village of Harbury. We visited on a Friday night in June and business was steady, if not brisk.

Cinda, the hostess for the evening was absolutely charming and looked after us very well indeed. The food although not notable was very satisfactory over all. I chose “Surf’nTurf” for the main course which included an excellent rump steak cooked to perfection. The accompaniments though were not so successful and far too plentiful for me! More simplicity in the chef’s style would indeed be welcome. The others reported that the Chicken Caesar Salad was excellent and the Chef’s Special pasta was “unusual” (a rather odd combination of ingredients).

Overall, we ate well enough and enjoyed a decent bottle of Sauvignon Blanc at under £15. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

“Great cuisine in a friendly pub”
Reviewed April 6, 2012

Warm inviting feeling about this pub, but the true surprise is the food, whilst the menu is not extensive, there's something there for everyone, and it is all cooked with skill. Here is definitely a chef who knows how to cook.

“Worth going to again”
Reviewed December 10, 2011

My wife and I visited the Crown Inn on a friday in December 2011 for an evening meal.
Firstly, my satnav took us the wrong way down a one-way street, so be careful in navigation, however instead on raising the wrath of the law, turn left before the one-way street and the Crown Inn is just down on the right.
The Crown Inn is right on the street with access from the pavement, ample car parking is round the back and is well lit.
The decor is "oldy worldie" with old beams across the ceiling in both the bar and eaty place. At 7.30pm the bar was half full and the restaurant nearly empty but this filled up a bit a little later on.
My wife ordered pork tenderloin and myself soup then sirloin steak, we were both well satisfied with the quality of the meat and vegetables, we didn't order deserts.
The cost of our meal was very reasonable being £27.85
Would we go there again - you bet we will!
