“Nice Airport Hotel”
Reviewed August 22, 2008

I stayed here over two nights in August of 2008. The hotel is very nice. I had some troubles with the air condition in my first room. The room was not cool and was much warmer than the hallway. The staff was very helpful in trying to resolve the issue. They moved me to another room where the AC preformed a bit better than the previous room.

The gym at the hotel is nice. It has a nice variety of cardio equipment and has a nice set of free weights.

The hotel does charge $10.00 to park. I do not find that price to be outrageous.

The hotel was nice, if I were in the airport area of St. Louis once more I would revisit the hotel.

  • Liked — Ideal location for quick in and out via airport

I thought this hotel was very nice. The rooms were spacious and clean. The employees seemed friendly. The bed was so comfortable. I usually have trouble sleeping in hotels, not this one. The noise from the airport was non-existant, and it was fun to watch the planes!
The 2 things I didnt like- $10 per day parking for guests. I think if you are a paying guest that should be free. Also the machine that takes your parking ticket broke twice so there was a line of cars attempting to get out of the lot. The elevators sometimes took many minutes. There were people that chose to walk 5 flights of stairs after standing there for 10 minutes. But, other times the elevator was no problem at all.

Wife had her family reunion here. Accommodations were great and customer service from management to the bellman was outstanding. Dwayne the bellman was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The rooms were clean and fairly spacious. Although the hotel is literally next to a runway the noise level was minimal. The only negative was the breakfast buffett. Selections could have been better for the price that was charged. Would highly recommend staying here.

I recently stayed at the Renaissance over the weekend of June 30. It was recommended by Trip Advisor. The hotel was conveniently located near the airport but it is approximately 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis. I did not find its location inconvenient but some may. Though near the airport, the hotel was very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed with a very good shower. The staff was courteous and the breakfast buffet was very good. Overall, an excellent hotel , especially for the business traveler.

This property is one of the closest to St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Greeted with a semi-circle design that seems to deflect the airport sounds, this hotel offers comforts that will make you both feel relaxed and as if you still have access to everything for work.

The lobby is expansive, with high ceilings in the foyer, and the layout makes things easy to find. Check-in was fast and easy. The bell staff was pleasant and welcoming. Secure parking is close and easy, and depending upon your stay, includes up to eight days free. We used our AAA discount, which gave a considerable discount.

Rooms offer a spectacular view, comfortable beds and bedding, desk with above-average executive chair, and spacious bathroom. Our room was clean and had lots of attention to detail. One complaint is that the internet should be free for the price, rather than $10 from noon to noon. They offer a business center, where internet prices are even higher. But they do have a complimentary boarding pass print station, which was quick and easy to use.

Both the indoor, outdoor pools and Jacuzzi offer a nice swim and soak. It is becoming rarer for hotels to not offer a deep-ended pool, but this outside pool offers both a deep end and a don’t-miss view of the hotel. The surroundings have canvas shades and lounge chairs waiting for weary travelers to relax in.

We ate in the sports bar, and the food was fantastic, and prices were reasonable, along with having big screen TVs, comfortable seating and friendly staff.

Both our obnoxiously early wake-up call and second wake-up call came on time for our early flight. The shuttle is 24-hour complimentary.

This hotel comes highly recommended for both leisure and business travels, especially those who need a stay adjacent to a flight. If you are driving, you can call the hotel for directions, but they transfer you to a pre-recording menu. I didn’t like that at all. I like getting directions from a live person, eventhough I understand it can be time consuming for desk staff, it makes me feel important that they care enough to be sure that I can find them.

My only complaints are that the internet should be free for the price of the room, and the recording for directions should be changed to a live person, or at least put that option at the end of the recording. `If you need further help, press zero to speak with a live person. `

  • Liked — The hospitality and professional atmosphere
  • Disliked — The charge ($10/day) for internet. For the price paid, this service should be free, or considerably less.

Had an early morning flight out of St. Louis and wanted to stay close to the airport. This hotel was a pleasant surprise for being so close to the airport. The staff was friendly upon check-in and check-out. Room was large and comfortable - King bed, good desk and chair, and two sitting chairs. The hotel lobby was welcoming and appears very up-to-date. The hotel suttle runs about every 15 minutes and from the hotel I was at the terminal in about 8 minutes. As this hotel is out by the airport, if you do not have a car, your eating options are limited to the hotel. Only establishments near by are Jack in the Box, Checkers, and Denny's.

Good place to stay.

Stayed 1 night in May 2008. Short cab ride from STL and good shuttle service every 15 minutes.

Hotel is clean, well equipped and attractive but still just an airport hotel out of town on a busy highway. Seems to be very popular with flight crews.

I'd go back for an overnight between flights but no more.
