I was visiting the St. Louis area, meeting up with family. We grew up in the Chesterfield/Ballwin/Town & Country area. We know good Italian St Louis food, but had never heard of Massa's. We were staying out west in the Wildwood area, so found this via Yelp.
We loved it!!! My husband often orders the tortellini in cream sauce with peas, etc, and he did again here. It was nearly the best he ever had. I had the combo spaghetti/ravioli/mostaciolli and it was pretty good. The teens shared a chicken fettucini alfredo and had plenty to eat! It was also delicious. The bread was served warm and was tasty and the inexpensive house red wine was very good with a generous pour.
It has a (good) old, small, dark, dated, comfy St. Louis Italian restaurant feel. The wait staff was very experienced and friendly.
All in all, I really enjoyed it and would definitely go back.
Oh! I almost forgot to mention they have a cute little booth with curtains that would make a very nice spot for a date night or special occasion. Otherwise, not too romantic!
