“Stick with the fried and you'll do fine”
Reviewed February 2, 2013 via mobile

They are deservedly famous for the fried dill pickle, which is delicious. Light batter, deep fried, served with ranch dressing. My husband got fried catfish and it was outstanding - moist and flaky, cornmeal coating with a little seasoning. I had a hamburger and it was mediocre-premade patty, overlooked and not flavorful at all. Other diners had plates piled high with delicious-looking fried wonders. The Hollywood was featured on "Deep Fried Paradise" and I think I will stick to that section of the menu.

“Small and Dated but Great Food! A must visit in the area.”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

This little historic cafe has been made famous in songs, books, stories and is woven into the fabric of the history of this area. The building is dated and it's age shows. Once inside though it is warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and easy going in true Mississippi style. The food is FABULOUS. Known for inventing the fried pickle they are a must have appetizer that lives up to its billing.

The catfish is hand breaded and is to die for! A nice selection of other dishes with local flavor are available. Make sure you save room for desert because as good as the meals are, the desserts are diet busting dreams.

Before you hit the bland buffets of the casinos stop in a real flavor of the Mississippi Delta!
