“Friday Night's For A Seafood Buffet”

Every Friday night, Fitzgerald's Casino offers a wonderful Seafood Buffet. Dishes include seafood gumbo and jambalya, blackened shrimp on a skewer, shrimp in a garlic sauce, fried shrimp, cajun broiled fish filets, fried catfish filets, and SNOW CRAB LEGS. I think I saw some diners carry several pounds of snow crab legs to their table. There were more pliers in use than a plumber's convention.

They also have a Texas barbecue station with barbecue ribs, grilled boneless chicken breasts, grilled sausage links, and grilled steaks.

An oriental station had some of the best egg rolls I've ever had, along with fried rice, General Tsao's chicken, fried won ton and more. A southern comfort food station included black eyed peas, stewed okra, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and a whole lot more. The salad bar had a dozen types of specialty salads in addition to all of the regular salad fixings.

The dessert station had a wonderful sugar-free section with cheesecake, chocolate cake, two fruit pies, and more. The rest of the dessert bar had cakes, pies, cheesecakes, chocolate chip cookie bars, boston cream pie, hot cobblers, pecan pie, and an ice cream machine.

Service was prompt, refills were delivered in a reasonable amount of time, and no one tried to rush you out. The seafood buffet is $19.95 and begins at 4pm Friday afternoon.

I wonder what they do with all of the snow crab leg shells? :-)

The food here is very good, and so is the service. It's easy to earn free buffets from the player's club.
