“Horseshoe Hotel Review”

The hotel room was decent but not great. Since I've stayed at Casino properties before, I expected a higher quality room and much better service than what we received. The carpet was dirty. The AC/Heating system was out dated and didn't work that well. The shower took a while to get hot. The service was probably the most disappointing. The front desk service was less than welcoming.

We normally stay at GoldStrike when we go to Tunica, but for various reasons we got comped three nights at the Horseshoe. So we stayed there, and we must have been upgraded because our room was really nice. We liked it much better than the rooms at the GoldStrike. We had a large suite with three flat screens and a nice couch/lounge area. We had a refrigerator in the room too, which at GoldStrike costs $25, so that was great too. Our room was clean and neat, and stayed that way even after maid service. We were so surprised and may return. The only downfall here is the walls are paper-thin, and the doors to other rooms close with a massively loud thud. We had neighbors who were loud and late, and we could here them just having casual conversations. Then you have the folks who bring children to a casino hotel (don't understand that but whatever), and they love to go in and out of the room 35 times per hour. So although our room was great, we did not sleep well due to the constant activity. But it is a casino hotel, and those things are in some way expected, so we deal with it. We would consider staying here again on our next visit to Tunica.

The room we got this time wasn't as bad as the last time. We asked to be moved as soon as we got in the room due to a disturbance in the room next to us and they moved us up a few floors immediately. The suites here are not anything like suites in the other hotels. They are almost the size of a regular room but with a couch in it.

Stayed on Sunday and Monday nights, check-in was quick and easy. The staff at the hotel and casino were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and our room needs some work. The room was clean and comfortable but not what we expected but for $37.00 a night it was a great deal. Casino staff was fast and friendly. We would return if we get the chance.

We stayed here previously and were happy with our stay. This time, we hoped to get a similar room in a similar location but we were on the third floor away from the elevators this time. It was a bit of a walk to get back to the room and the hallways reeked of cigarette smoke (although our room was fine). The carpets in the hallways were very worn and pulling apart at the seems and they could have used a VERY thorough cleaning. But the room itself was nice and clean with plenty of towels, etc. and the staff was very nice and helpful...

Very nice and clean. We upgraded our room and we are so glad that we did. Very large room with three TVs. Nice to sit on a couch and watch TV while the wife gets ready to Rick the casino. We try to go to Tunica 3-5 times a year. I tell you what we will stay here from now on. Also the staff are supper nice!!

We stayed one night in a regular king room, upon arrival I inquired about a room near the elevator. Without looking, the lady behind the desk said no! Casino was fine, but dinner for 4 @ 92$ left a lot to be desired. Food was cold, and fried food appeared to have been there awhile. Dessert selection was limited at best. It was very noisy in our room, and doors slamming all night and you could hear other televisions.
