If you are visiting Starkville, you must try the original Little Dooey. You will probably meet the owner Barry Wood or someone in his family when you enjoy the best barbeque in the area. We enjoy the pulled pork plate or smoked chicken plate, the barbeque sandwich (with slaw on the sandwich, of course), or the barbeque chicken. The catfish is also very good--I like the whole fish and my husband always gets the fillets. This is a down-home restaurant--a little house with quirky additions that is always busy, always friendly, and always good.
