Having never been to Mexico, I am reluctant to describe this as "authentic" Mexican food. How would I know?
What I can say is that this food is excellent and certainly meets my mental image of what authentic Mexican food should be.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.

My family loves this place. So easy to pick-up a to-go order on the way home from work. Everything on the menu has wonderful flavor and generous portions. We usually get two meals out of the big portions. Recommend the chicken enchiladas dinner and some tamales. You can't go wrong with any of the tacos though.

My first trip to Taqueria La Guadalupe today did not disappoint! Great chips and salsa, a cooked salsa I had not had before, with a white queso dip and fabulous chunky guacamole. The tamale was excellent, hand made, with nicely spiced pork filling, and lots of it, and steamed in a banana leaf. The masa was tender and fluffy, not packy. and not dry, like the usual Mississippi-style cornmeal tamale. Definately a great place, friendly, and worth a visit!

Had to drive a pretty good distance to eat here-but oh so worth it. It is just a hole in the wall but the food is authentic and one heck of a good value. We shared the chicken fajitas for two that include 2 bottles of soft drinks for only $20.00. We had sides of salsa & chips and cheese dip and the total bill for all this was only $25.00. Easily could have feed 3 or 4 people. Don;t miss this place but be prepared for the crowds of locals-they know a great place to eat and this is it.

Although this is a "hole in the wall" kind of place, located between Krystal and Kroger near Countly Line at Old Canton, it is one of those places everyone needs to try. I found out about them when there was a "Taco Challenge" sponsored by the local newspapers. They were hands down the best in town. This is not your typical Mexican or TexMex place. It's a little bitty place with maybe 4 booths and 2 tables. The food, however, is top notch. Everything is FRESH FRESH FRESH - none of that gloppy refried beans or enchiladas in canned sauce. My fish taco was on a fresh tortilla with grilled tilapia, vegetables, salsa and a slice of avocado. They offer a wide variety of meats for their tacos, burritos and tamales including chicken, brisket, sliced steak, and more. It's hard to describe, you have to try it - it's just a whole different, more vibrant taste than any other Mexican I've had around. They serve bottled drinks and several homemade desserts as well.
