Ate here several times over my stay in Oxford. The sushi was great but the menu food wasn't that great. Try the hibachi if you get a chance,

Went to Toyo for the first time since they changed their name from Nagoya. Don't know the reason for the change or whether they are under new management. The restaurant space is attractive, with one section with the Benihana type seating with performing chefs [good for kids' birthdays] and another section devoted to sushi and traditional dinners. We sat in the latter but were able to order the same food as served by the clangy chefs, without the fanfare, We chose the hibachi dinners, one sukiyaki steak, another grilled steak. Both meals included a soup, salad, fried rice, grilled veggies, and a couple of grilled shrimp. Tasted good and had very good service. There are about six Asian restaurants in Oxford, now. This is possible the second best - next to Rice and Spice Thai restaurant.
Wonderful time here after Ole Miss Graduation. It's my sister favorite restaurant and it did not disappoint. The chef was great and the staff was really good with such a large crowd. We will definitely visit when we are in Oxford again.
Our favorite sushi restaurant in Oxford. They have had a name change this past year and are not called Toyo Restaurant, but all the staff are the same. Sushi is always fresh with good portion size. We enjoy many of the unique rolls. Staff is very friendly and the manager always stops by to check on you and actually takes the time to learn frequent customers. Highly recommended.
