I've eaten hear many times and look forward to each visit I get to make. Excellent food, wonderful hibachi chefs and until this last visit has been all great staff.
However, on August 31 we went and had what we started referring to as "new guy" as a waiter and it put a big shot in our usual good night. The female waitresses are great, the young male waiter was great, this guy in his 30's (or so) should be drop kicked out of customer service.
First off when asked to speak up, since he was mumbling in a noisy restaurant, he instead got quieter. Then when he brought drinks to the table, maybe half got straws and he had no interest in hearing requests for more straws or chopsticks. He entered at least two meals wrong. And when one was pointed out he argued about it. Yeah, he argued with the customer about his screw up. And then charged them for a replacement. Attempts to get a messed up drink fixed were ignored, attempts at any attention from him was ignored. To polish off the night he brought receipts to the table and just receipts, none of the boards they were supposed to be on and disappeared again. After a night of horrible service from "new guy" the table was all mumbling about how he wasn't worth any tip so imagine everyone's surprise when they discovered he had forced an 18% tip on every receipt. Effectively he stole money from everyone there. Probably 40-50$ all together. For my husband and I alone he stole over $20.00 in unauthorized craps put on our bill.
So if you go there and get an older guy as your server, ask for someone else or just leave because he ruined our otherwise great experiences we've had many times before.
