My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place on the way to New Orleans for a weeks vacation. Hate to say it but she was looking for a Krystals and we passed the Heritage House on a Sunday around noon and the parking lot was packed. I figured this must be a good place to eat and I was right. If you want down home style cooking and plenty of it, this is the place. The fried chicken was right up there with Paula Deen's (which I've had 3 times) and the veggies were awesome. Price was very fair and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. It was so good that we timed our departure from New Orleans so that we could stop for lunch on the way back.
