Take a free visit Monday through Friday from Noon till 4 PM CST. Were you will find a Railroad Museum located in a Very Quaint Old Downtown McComb Mississippi that was built by Railroad Retiree’s.
When you visit the museum, you will enter through the original Illinois Central passenger terminal now leased to Amtrak. There are lots of railroad history of “what it once was” when trains were one of the best ways of traveling!
The train station is actually used today to take or return from a trip on an Amtrak Train. You not only can see and read about how the railway system affected the area; you can experience trains coming through and stopping in McComb on a daily basis. After you experience the Museum go outside and touch or even climb on a real steam locomotive and railcars.
