Giving the Isle of "Crappe" a 1 rating is being very generous. Settle back, this is a long story....Let's start at the beginning. First, after a really long drive, we were greeted by a very rude front desk. Her attitude-she was there ONLY because she needed to work and was doing as little as she could to get us away from her.
Get to our room, freshen up, and go to the buffet. Walking into the buffet, first thing we saw was the front table filthy and a large clear garbage bag filled with food. Hostess called a waitress over to take us to our table. She took us to a dirty table! Obviously we chose another table. We went up to the buffet, and there were no plates. I turned around and "our" waitress was sitting at a table. Just sitting there. So I said "Excuse me, there are no clean plates." She turned around, looked at me, and shrugged her shoulders! What-she didn't just shrug her shoulders?! I just stood there staring at her and she finally mumbled there were plates at the other end of buffet.
Go back to our room and when we opened the door, noticed a note on the floor that someone slid under the door. Without going into details, the handwritten note was sexually graphic about what they wanted to do with us. And as soon as we walked in, our phone rang, my husband answered it and could hear someone on the other end. My husband called the front desk and they transferred him to security. Security said the hall camera would show who did it and supervisor would have to approve looking at it. They would have to tell supervisor and call back. While waiting we looked out into the hall and a security guard (Exel) just happened to be walking by (?). We gave him the note and he said he would talk to security. Waited for 30 minutes, nobody called, so we called back and had to explain the WHOLE story again. They said they would send Head of Security to our room. By this time, mind you, it was around 11:30 at night. Head of Security comes to our room. Shows concern, but at this point, we don't believe anybody at this hotel gives a rat's %#@%. He said maybe it was kids playing a prank. Being a casino hotel, he said nobody is allowed into the hotel section without showing a hotel key. I told him that's not true because there was a security guard shift change while we were in the buffet and when we went back to our room the new security guard on duty had never seen us before. She did NOT ask to see our hotel room key. Because of this, we instructed the hotel that we did not want anyone coming into our room the whole time we're there. That included maid service.
There were very questionable people loitering around the casino and following people as they came out. Very scary. No security in sight as these people were doing this.
And to put icing on the cake, there were 2 roaches, crumbs on the bed, and we found a fried chicken bone behind the bed!
