We stayed here over the Memorial day weekend. The hotel has been recently updated and was very nice. Excellent beds, nice colors. We had not been to this casino before and it being a good 30 minutes from Tunica the rooms were listed $40 cheaper then anywhere there. When we got there we signed up for the casino prior to checking in. They gave my wife and I both free buffets and knocked $20 a night off the room. Hard to beat. Everyone on the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The buffet had excellet food and very attentive service. They had great security around the hotel and if you did't belong there you were not coming in. Overall my wife and I both were very happy with our decision to go here and really enjoyed out getaway!

Having traveled from the West and having encountered some overpriced accommodations, we were happy to come across this hotel which offered a comparatively low rate ($40) due to its gaming facilities. We don't gamble so it seemed a bargain to us. Food was pretty bad but room was just hunky-dorey.

We stayed at Isle of Capri not to gamble but because of the cheap lodging rate. We were with a group of people having a luncheon at Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale who also wanted to gamble; we were more interested in the local music scene.

Good thing that we weren't interested in turning in early, because the room across the hall was full of unattended minor children who kept screaming and slamming the heavy wooden door to their guestroom. It eventually became necessary to notify security about the ongoing loud disruption.

The staff was exceptionally courteous and friendly; we just wished that there were more of them on hand at checkout time. It is a considerable distance from the parking lot to the hotel rooms and we needed assistance with our luggage. It took them one hour and 12 minutes to get a bellman up to our room. However, after we got the car loaded, we went to the front desk and complained, and they instantly comped us for lunch at Calypso's Buffet. The food was OK and the service was very attentive.

We had what they call a "deluxe room" at $49.99 + tax booked online, and it was nicely decorated and seemed a good value for the money on a holiday weekend. It appeared that there were two separate hotel buildings, so we can't comment on what the standard rooms or the other building might be like. Our building was called something like Palm Terrace, and down the hall were fancier suites with a view of the Mississippi River for the high rollers.

Based on price and courtesy of the staff, we would definitely give this place another try in the future, and hopefully next time our schedule will permit a little gambling, too.

My partner and I were on our way to Little Rock for a business trip I had to take. We decided to leave early and stop at the Isle of Capri in Lula on the way. We thought what the heck, for $20/night, it can't be that bad.
Well, I am glad that I didn't pay more than that. The room was awful. It was being in a run down motor lodge. The carpet was filthy, the bed hard as a rock and the bathroom SCARRY..

The casino was OK. There are two seperate casinos, each of them are on barges so they aren't that big.

I don't think I will stay here ever again.

Nice and clean casino hotel. Our room was very good but did not have fridge and microwave. We stayed here in Aug. 2006 and our room rate was $39.00 including breakfast buffet. We returned in 2007 over the Memorial Day weekend and same room was $109.00 with no breakfast. Our stay was still enjoyable.

Had not been to Isle of Capri (used to be Lady Luck) in years, it had gotten too run down. Had a great experience! The place is cleaned up and the people were exceptionaly helpful and friendly. We didn't have an iron/ironing board in our our room so I called the front desk and they had one to us in less than 10 minutes. Didn't care for the buffet but am not a big buffet eater, next time will try their steak house. Was very happy with staff and games. One of our better casino trips!

Giving the Isle of "Crappe" a 1 rating is being very generous. Settle back, this is a long story....Let's start at the beginning. First, after a really long drive, we were greeted by a very rude front desk. Her attitude-she was there ONLY because she needed to work and was doing as little as she could to get us away from her.
Get to our room, freshen up, and go to the buffet. Walking into the buffet, first thing we saw was the front table filthy and a large clear garbage bag filled with food. Hostess called a waitress over to take us to our table. She took us to a dirty table! Obviously we chose another table. We went up to the buffet, and there were no plates. I turned around and "our" waitress was sitting at a table. Just sitting there. So I said "Excuse me, there are no clean plates." She turned around, looked at me, and shrugged her shoulders! What-she didn't just shrug her shoulders?! I just stood there staring at her and she finally mumbled there were plates at the other end of buffet.

Go back to our room and when we opened the door, noticed a note on the floor that someone slid under the door. Without going into details, the handwritten note was sexually graphic about what they wanted to do with us. And as soon as we walked in, our phone rang, my husband answered it and could hear someone on the other end. My husband called the front desk and they transferred him to security. Security said the hall camera would show who did it and supervisor would have to approve looking at it. They would have to tell supervisor and call back. While waiting we looked out into the hall and a security guard (Exel) just happened to be walking by (?). We gave him the note and he said he would talk to security. Waited for 30 minutes, nobody called, so we called back and had to explain the WHOLE story again. They said they would send Head of Security to our room. By this time, mind you, it was around 11:30 at night. Head of Security comes to our room. Shows concern, but at this point, we don't believe anybody at this hotel gives a rat's %#@%. He said maybe it was kids playing a prank. Being a casino hotel, he said nobody is allowed into the hotel section without showing a hotel key. I told him that's not true because there was a security guard shift change while we were in the buffet and when we went back to our room the new security guard on duty had never seen us before. She did NOT ask to see our hotel room key. Because of this, we instructed the hotel that we did not want anyone coming into our room the whole time we're there. That included maid service.

There were very questionable people loitering around the casino and following people as they came out. Very scary. No security in sight as these people were doing this.

And to put icing on the cake, there were 2 roaches, crumbs on the bed, and we found a fried chicken bone behind the bed!
