“Restaurant substitutes fish”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

Visited Steve's recently and ordered the flounder and fried shrimp. What we got was catfish and shrimp. The shrimp were small, over-cooked, and tough. The catfish was well ... not flounder. We have run into several restaurants in the area that advertise local fish, but when you order them you get a substitute. This is not only unethical, but illegal. If Mississippi cared enough about their tourism reputation and presenting their gulf fish, they would enforce their local restaurants and make sure that when flounder, redfish, etc. are on the menu, that is what the customer gets. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

“Great Food, Great Service, Wonderful view!”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

Visited Steve's recently on our vacation... and I have to say I really enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent and the service was good as well. We enjoyed the Fried Green Tomatoes entree and loved it! As well as the special for the night, which was a soft shell crab over pasta. Followed by a homemade, and extra yummy Key Lime pie.

We loved the atmosphere and food! In fact, If we're ever in their "neck of the woods" again, we'll be going back.

“Steve's Marina misses the boat.”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Dining at Steve's Marina again after several yrs absence proved a real disappointment. The atmosphere is cliche' "tropical meets seafood" (complete with Marlin and clown fish on the wall) which competes with a beautiful view of the Long Beach Harbor and Gulf of Mexico. Food was good though by no means extraordinary, but service was sloppy and slipshod. Salad condiment containers were left on the table when salad plates were removed, new forks were not provided with dessert (which was advertised to have "homemade whipped cream" but had NO whipped cream), and no bread was served with the seafood entrees (standard at most restaurants on the Coast). The only artificial sweetener provided was "pink stuff", which few people use in this day of Splenda and Equal.

The wait staff was far to casual and involved in social interaction among themselves to provide good service to guests - attributable to a more-than-laid back manager on duty.

With its prime location and enviable view, Steve's Marina has too much going for it to let lack of attention to detail and an in professional staff stand in its way. Get your act together.

All in all, Steve's Marina has
