This was our first trip to Darwell's. the food is outstanding! I am not usually a fan of crawfish étouffée but this dish here was wonderful. The étouffée is topped with spicy BBQ shrimp! Keep in mind the dinner portions are large. The atmosphere was great. I will return every time I visit the coast.

We have been here several times & have not been disappointed yet. Have tried burgers, YumYum pasta, & shrimp etouffe all very good. You can bring your own liquor & listen to live bands.

If you are visiting the Biloxi - Gulfport area be sure to visit. Stopped by after a road from NOLA to Natchez to Pensacola and back. Best meal of the trip.

Darwell's is amazing. We were greeted outside by Darwell himself and made to feel welcome and at home immediately. First off, offered a sample of the crawfish etofee, and loved it. Then Darwell explained a lot of the different menu items and posed beautifully for a photo op. Food was so, so delicious. I had the best crab cake ever. Definitely check this out.

There was "buzz" about this hidden joint by the railroad tracks but it did not show up on any research list of local eateries. On our last night of vacation we sought it out. What a hoot! This mixture of '60's funk with a 21st Century retro cool vibe also served good Cajun inspired food. We took all of the server's suggestions and were happy we did. In the maze of back rooms we found a table with live entertainment. We ate while listening to a young troubador hone his talent. Darwell stopped by to see how we were doing and one could sense the origin of his paintings that covered the walls.
