“Probably the best option in the area”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

It wasn't a bad room, but it there were a few issues. The overall condition of the room and building seemed good. The walls were painted nicely and fixtures all seemed to be in good repair. What caught my attention though was that the carpet appeared to have not been vacuumed; the bedspreads were stained; and I found a hair on the pillowcase.

Although I never heard voices from another room, the plumbing sounds were unusually loud.

Breakfast was modest - some cereal, bagels and breads. Enough to get you started.

The staff was very nice.

My wife and I stayed here for one night on the 14th March, in room 226.
This Hotel has great "Kerb Appeal" in that it looks imposing from the road. Closer inspection however reveals a somewhat old building (e.g.Rooms have single glazed aluminum fronts and tired walkways), but our room was clean and tidy.
We had requested a ground floor room, but had to make-do one floor up, which meant us seniors lugging our bags up stairs. Shame when booking in early afternoon that we couldn't be accommodated on the ground floor.
This Hotel works very hard to fill it's rooms by advertising a free supper, 25% discount for seniors, and by accepting advanced reservations at coupon rates. From this aspect it deserves to succeed.
I should mention here the "Free Supper" on our stay this was a vegetable and meat soup with boiled rice. There was also a chocolate custard desert. Now just how guests can deride this is beyond us simple Brits. The food was OK, plentiful and free. What's to deride? We like southern hospitality.
Breakfast was the usual Super 8 fare, and set us up for the day.
Would we stay here again? Well we vote on Value for money, so yes certainly.

My daughter and I had reason to stay in Kosciusko, MS for a few days and found this motel to be just what we needed. The front desk staff was great and the room was very nice. Very small town here so we were happy to be able to stay there. They need to improve their continental breakfast a little bit. Nothing available at 7:00 AM except a few danish. We also liked the location as it was just on the edge of town but close to everything we needed. Would stay there again anytime!
