We used this hotel to be near a loved on in serious condition in the university hospital. We knew we could count on the Hampton to be clean, convinent and worry free. Having a hassel free hotel experience meant a lot in this time of stress.

It is on par with other Hampton Inns across the country. In terms of comfort, it is same. No different.
The staff here are exceptional. They treat you very well. If you dont like something, they fix it right away.
Best part is warm cookies which they bake in-house every evening.

The hotel is out of date compared to other Hampton Inns I have stayed at. In my opinion I dont believe I will be staying at the Hampton Inn's any more. The room was hot the whole night with the A/C turned down. The breakfast area was very small!!
We are very sorry that you had Air Conditioning issues and that we didn't know in time to cure the issue once you discovered the problem. We value our guests and them having a good experience at our hotel is important to us. I think our breakfast area size is about normal for Hamptons but we could always more space. I sometimes travel 200 days a year, all over the world. What a delight to be so warmly welcomed by the Hampton Inn employees in Jackson-North. I was impressed. A long week of work out of town can be exhausting when you're staying at a hotel.
Each day I was warmly greeted both mornings when I sleep-walked to the lobby for coffee and when I dragged in at night. A smiling face and a genuine caring personal comment made me feel welcome. Housekeeping staff acted like it was their home and you were in their guest room. People listened. Made caring comments. Used people's names.
They'd see me returning at night and remind me of the reception with beverages and substantial hors d'oeuvres that meant I never had to go out. If you want gourmet, go out. But if you want comfort food and a feeling of being in your own living room, stay in.

This Hampton provided last-minute accommodations for us when our reservation at another Jackson Hampton was accidentally cancelled by conference staff. We were greeted by enthusiastic staff who went out of their was to accommodate our need for a microwave and refrigerator. My business companion and I have health needs that require both, as well as a comfortable upright chair for sleeping with medical equipment. Manager Wes and Tamika both went overboard to be helpful. The biggest drawback was that the room was not clean. I found cobwebs around the heating and cooling system, and later we had visits by several insects. The room also had a bad odor. We did not ask for a different room, as it was easier for us to remain in that handicap accessible room for our stay than to move our luggage and conference supplies. I found the one computer/printer in the business center to be quite slow. This was obviously an older Hampton property. Hopefully, they are scheduled for renovation soon.
I will have to say--I hate it when a guest experiences any issues with cleanliness. We always strive for the best in this area and take it seriously when someone's experience it not up to par. We were able to determine this room number quickly after this post and treated for insects, any odor issues and checked for the noted cleaniness issues. I am also happy to say that we just completed our upgrade on our wireless internet so we can truly say we are now "high speed". Thank you for your candid comments. We appreciate your business.
