One of only two open non-hotel restaurants we could find in the downtown on a Saturday night, but with the earlier reviews, we thought it would work. Well, it definitely was as expected. Clearly old time (as in 1940s) decor, simple menu, friendly and helpful wait-staff, good-sized servings--my redfish was two big filets--very reasonable prices, and a salad dressing you want to put on everything. You may wish they'd share the recipe for the dressing, but they won't Place was full, but the wait was minimal. If you're stuck in downtown Jackson over a weekend, there is better-than-fast food available that was surprisingly good, given how dead the downtown was on a Saturday night.
