I'm so disappointed! I reserved a group of rooms for a service learning group here at the Howard Johnson and it was miserable. The front desk was rude and unwilling to aid in the most basic requests. I had reserved 3 rooms with 2 queens a piece and instead we got 3 rooms with double size beds. Apparently this hotel has no rooms with queen sized beds... and no towels either. We wanted additional towels and they told us to ask another room for their unused towels (no joke). We got yelled at for using the empty conference room. Also there were random creepy guys in the lobby area late at night that were not guest and were doing their laundry at the hotel for some reason.

Our group stayed here last year and the hotel was much nicer. What it lacked in cleanliness/ amenities it made up for in friendly and excellent service. Since switching ownership I guess things have gone down hill. Our group was here to do community service so we weren't expecting the Ritz but I know we could've done better than staying here.

All in all don't stay here there are many other options in the area that are likely cheaper even if they aren't better in quality. Beware!

My husband and I were on our yearly summer vacation and decided to stop in Jackson Ms to rest. This was our first time in Jackson as well as our first time at the Jameson inn.when we arrived their was a young lady at the front desk named Tasha she wore a smile on her face that made us know we were at the right location. We had a few minor issues with our Room but the way this young lady handled everything was very professional she left a lasting impression on my husband and I that we will never forget. Every summer we travel this will surely be one of the places we stop to stay all because of the hospitality we received. Thanks Tasha

I spent one night there with my little Yorkie, Broc, and I'm not sure who enjoyed the hotel more. The staff and management was friendly; as a pet friendly hotel, he (Broc) did not cause any attention and enjoyed the nature trail behind the hotel. The complementary breakfast was outstanding; much more than the typical muffin and fruit. An e-mail was sent to the hotel with regards to my pleasant experience.

You definitely get what you pay for at this place. 1st day- We noticed carpet stains and minor stains in the sheets, but did not complain because we got the rooms for $30/night, the staff was very polite, we received a remote for the room when we walked in and it did not work. 2nd night- When we asked for more towels, we were asked, "They didn't give you more towels earlier." Then we were given another room key to retrieve towels from a vacant room on our own, there were bugs in the sink, roach in the bathroom, those stains on the sheets ended up being stains on the mattress... pretty disgusted at this point, but stayed because we didn't get in until late. 3rd night- we didn't even stay at the hotel we had original reservations at instead we checked into the Hyatt in Ridgeland, MS... much cleaner and more comfortable, we went to check out from Jameson Inn the following morning and saw another roach by the trash on the way out!

Room Tip: Don't stay here if you can afford something better.

We understand that price point is in no way a reflection of our hotel nor our brand. We feel that weather you pay a dollar or a hundred dollar your visit with us should be as delightful as possible. RaeJa, Some of the issues you had with us aren’t a reflection of our standards at the Jameson Inn and for that we apologies. While I myself have NEVER EVER saw a roach in any of our rooms nor any other area of the hotel, we will continue to ensure that pest control is one of our TOP priorities here.
