“Well worth a visit.”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

I work for the State of Mississippi as Executive Director for a State Agency, so I spend a LOT of time in our Capitol building. Legislation and appropriation can make for indigestion, but the views inside this magnificent building are incredible. I have often heard parts of the guided tours that are available to the public, and the information is incredibly interesting. If you visit during legislative session, you can sit in the upper level of each chamber and watch the session in progress. You can also visit the “Old Capitol Museum” (down the street) for a great interpretive tour.

“Beautiful Architecture”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Although we were only able to tour the outside of the Capitol Buidling because we drove through on a Sunday, we were so impressed with the excellent memorials and buildings.

It inspired us to make a return visit to throughly tour the buidling. It is ladden with history.

“Lovely building”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

Touring state capitol buildings is a hobby of mine and it was nice adding Mississippi to my list. The staff was very welcoming and gave good information. The stained glass windows are really interesting, as are the multiple types of marble throughout. If in Jackson, I recommend visiting the capitol.
