“Old school”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2012

This museum is unlike any other museum I've ever visited - and I lived in DC for 10 years. The Ag museum takes you back through history and tells the story of the people and the ways of life that made the agrarian society our nation was built on. If you're in Jackson, go see the ag museum.

“We love this place”

I'm always surprised more people are not here every time I visit. Outdoors displays, Indoor exhibits. My year old loves the model trains! I hope the ag. aviation museum expands.

Tractors, airplanes and Lots of working model trains! There is a barn with goats, pigs, donkeys, peacocks, chickens, etc. Old buildings from small town/farm Mississippi! I could go on and on. Love it!

“Great selection of Model Railroad Layouts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2011

This facility has an indoor museum and an outside living history museum. Both of which are well equipped and interesting.
Don't be deterred if the main gate is closed as there is a side entrance with car park.

“Nice museum for understanding MS Ag history”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2011

We were in town for a wedding and had seen the reviews of this museum. We had fun looking at the outside exhibits of old farm homes and buildings as well as inside the museum. The museum has been hit by the limited funds provided by the state so only one of the "living exhibits" was open - the printing shop. The two couples there had driven in from Oxford, MS and Olive Branch, MS (not really close to Jackson) to man the exhibit. They were very knowledgable and fun to talk to.

I would recommend this museum to anybody who wants to better understand MS AG history.

Other than the fact that not all the "living exhibits" were manned, the only negative was finding the parking lot which turned out to be at the MS Sports Hall of Fame and Museum next door to the AG museum.
