We were staying in Indianola for one night on our way to Memphis, we saw an article about The Blue Biscuit in a tourist magazine and it sounded like the sort of place we wanted to go to, good food and music. However, we were disappointed, we went there on a Friday night and the place was empty, the owner and another local Walter were very welcoming and friendly, we asked if there was live music and the owner said he hoped so. A local was playing the piano and he was pretty good. We ordered our food and thought we would try the BBQ Pork which the owner recommended along with starters of Fried Green Tomatoes and Chicken Wings. The food all came at the same time and the starters were plentiful and pretty good, we were not so impressed with the BBQ Pork which we felt was a little dry. Everything was served on polystyrene plates and drinks were in plastic cups which is not so nice. A musician did appear and sang and played the guitar, but he was not great and we were the only people there, and as it was a Friday night, we thought this was a bit strange. So we paid our bill and left.
