Wonderful museum and great presentations. Very professionally done. A must see for civilians and veterans. Plans are being made to enlarge.
Nice gift shop and donations are accepted.
Directional signs must be down as we had to ask directions when on base.

This museum is set up to take you through American involvement in wars chronilogically. Museum is small but very well laid out and interesting. A must for kids. I have taken kids there many times and they never get tired of it.

This is on an active military base so you must show identification to the guard. It was a little confusing to find the museum so I would suggest you ask the guard for the easiest way to get there. There was no signage on which roads to take and we ended up asking a couple soldiers that were outside another building.

We weren't sure what to expect since there was no charge to visit this museum. Often times that will mean it is very small and limited exhibits. The Armed Forces Museum was the complete opposite. There are exhibits covering the Civil War and everything in between there and present day Iraq. Lots of life size displays giving a real sense of what it was like to be a soldier during war.

It was interesting to see the difference in weapons, machinery, clothing, vehicles as the years went on. Outside the museum is a great display of vehicles and helicopters.

Would highly recommend a visit - I don't think you'd be disappointed.

This small museum is part of the Camp Shelby complex and is free but with a suggested donation amount. If you are interested in military history, then a visit is a must. One of the highlights is a replica of a WWI trench. There is even a section mentioning the areas in which women served during WWII. It is well maintained and extremely interesting.
