I'm an avid outdoors person and love to fish. I accidentally fpund this town while on a work contract for couple Months. The fishing is sooo good here i encountered 3 professional tournaments (Major names we would all recognize on TV). The lake is actually 'flood control' and the water level is maintained by Corps of Engineers. It is quite low, until around late February each year (when rain season returns). But there is still good fishing IF you're able to get access to fishing spots, or else, chose to go fishing from shore on the West side of the 'spillway' on Hwy 333 a little past the 333 restaurant (that is an awesome place to eat). Thete are several campgrounds around each side of the lake and many Landmarks related to the old Plantation lifestyle and also Civil War monuments too.

Great fishing lake! Also, if you enjoy camping, jogging, family getaway for the weekend, you will not be disappointed when you visit this lake. But make sure you book early, because SUMMER is coming...lol.

We had such a great experience on Grenada Lake with Grenada Lake Crappie Fishing Guides. Our guide was Patrick and he was EXTREMELY knowledgeable with the fish we caught.

He even knew what fish we had on the line before he even saw it, AMAZING!!!

The lake was a little hard with fishing that weekend due to the storm but we will definitely be making this an annual tradition and even plan on returning the end of summer to go crankbait fishing with the same guide.

We did catch 19 crappie which was good for us because we brought some fish back to eat.

We camped in Hugh State Park which was actually pretty decent since we backed up to the dam and were able to fish right behind our campsite.

Overall, our trip was amazing and again plan to make this an annual trip.

Enjoyed walking two trail heads here. There is both an upper and a lower trail. The lower is easier to navigate and a shorter distance while the other offers some steep inclines and an overlook.

It's a Great lake. However, due to no rain since Moses was here, the water level is too low to really enjoy it. Pass on it for now.
