Currimundi Lake is a beautiful area for a swim or BBQ. There are also local shops where you can grab a meal or coffee.

Been staying in Kawana Waters on otherside of Nicklin Way for past few months with family: having visited most if not all the National Pks in area I had an hour to kill waiting for friends so parked up & walked this lovely conservation area:) it’s beautiful and well worth the effort to visit. Definitely walk across this time and spend more time exploring .

A bit of a “local’s secret”, Currimundi Lake is the perfect holiday location for families, especially those with young children, because of its calm waters. And for those that prefer waves, there’s a Surf beach just over the sand dunes, that is patrolled by life savers on weekends and in school holidays. CoCo’s Beach Cafe overlooks Currimundi Lake and sells everything from fish and chips to ice creams. Kite Thrills, also overlooking the beach, hires kayaks and stand up paddle boards, as well as selling coffee and other yummy treats from its cafe. Right near the beach are BBQs, picnic tables, public toilets and a playground. To stay in one of the nearby holiday apartments (these are very close the lake - no need to cross a busy road first), contact one of the local agents - Caloundra Holiday Centre, Accom Caloundra or Henzells.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been! My 2yo daughter had lots of fun. Plenty of shades, birds singing, warm water full of fishes, wonderful sunset, toilets, showers. My husband and step father had burgers at the Cafe and liked it, my mom and I had the fish and chips, the chips were OK but the fish was missing seasoning. We should have packed a BBQ. It was a really lovely day!

I went to the park on the north side of the lake with my granddaughter for a walk and was amazed with the fabulous play area for kid that was available. There were the usual toilets which were nice and clean and fresh tap water was available as well. you can look at the bird life in the lake as well and the place is shaded and quite.
