If you are in the area of Shiloh, definitely make a trip to Corinth to visit this new interpretive center. The exhibits and films are informative, interesting, and very well done.

It is a driving tour with interpretation. you can spend as much or as little time as you like at the Park, but it is well worth the stop.

Of all of the Civil War sites we've been to, this was the most disappointing. There are very few actual personal effects on display. They do a good job of laying out the details of the battle of Corinth. We love learning the history of our country but we found this center boring.

We were in in Corinth for the night so stopped at the center. We are northerners and found it interesting to have a more southern point of view on the war. The building and grounds are lovely and there are a few confederate unknown markers at the top of the hill behind the center. The films and displays in the center are good. We are not civil war buffs, but enjoyed this center very much.
There are a number of Union soldier graves at the national cemetery a few blocks from the center.

We drive through Corinth a lot to visit family in Alabama, but this was my first time to stop at the Interpretive Center. We spent only an hour there because we had a long drive ahead of us, but we could have easily spent 2-3 hours there if we had read everything. The history presented didn't appear to be skewed to one side or another, probably because this museum is run by the National Parks Service. There were wall exhibits, two video "rooms", sculptures, an outdoor sculpture/water feature (that I didn't get to see up close because it was pouring), and a great gift shop. The history was in-depth and included many, many personal accounts. You really got a sense of what the battle was like by the time you were finished. I highly recommend the Interpretive Center.
