Hotel choices are very limited in Clarksdale. This hotel is old and in need of remodeling - but is located in a safe part of town.

This is the absolute worst motel/hotel i've ever stayed in!!!!!! This place is ridiculous. There aren't any doorknobs on the main entrance doors. When I got to my room, the housekeeping staff left a bag of pillowcases in front of our door. THe toilet doesn't flush. The shower is filthy and showerhead doesn't work at all. Why are the housekeepers getting paid? Some outlets don't work. No microwave. No air in hallways. If staying on first floor, you will have two doors in your room. One outside and the other to the hallway.THe fridge is miniature. An ironing board is present but there isn't an iron. No complimentary breakfast. No elevator. No indoor pool, which is falsely stated on the website ( so don't count on swimming). "Fitness Center" is creepy! No contact number to call front desk. A strip of carpet in the room is missing. Lamp shades were crooked. Pillows are half of the size of a regular pillow. This place is completely horrible and I will never stay at another Best Western. If I'm ever in Clarksdale again and the Comfort Inn is booked again, I would rather stay at America's Best Value Inn and that's depressing. Please don't ever stay here. Trust me! Save yourself the trouble!

The Executive Inn was a convenient location for our short stop in Clarkesdale. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I reserve 2 rooms here every year for the Juke Joint Festival in April, and it is usually bad, but tolerable. This time however was the worst! A few months prior to the event, I had broken both bones in my leg and still not walking without aid. At check-in, I asked for a ground floor room...since it is hard to get a wheelchair up steps....and was rudely told NO! I asked if there was an elevator, again the answer was NO! I explained my situation to the clerk and was told that there was nothing they could do, and that they could not help me. Also, we had rooms that were double occupancy, (that's 4 people per room) and recieved only 2 towels per room! When we asked for 2 more towels, houskeeping said, "We don't got no towels"! Seriously? Not only was the staff rude, but the rooms were dirty and in disrepair, and the coffee had flakes of something floating in it. I will not be staying at this hotel again!

We stayed at this motel on 11/23/11. Quite an experience to say the least. The person at the check in counter had a sullen/negative attitude, which should have been an indication of the motel condition. The place was not clean, the shower did not work, there was a hole in the wall above the counter in the bath room, the dead bolt did not work, the flip over secondary security lock was held on by paint, and the tub-shower was covered with mildew. DO NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP.

They've taken down the Best Western franchise and started a renovation project, although no noticeable construction going on while I was there over the weekend. My ground-floor room was one of the renovated ones and it was quite acceptable- standard sort of room. Front desk staff was very friendly, as was a grounds staffer who was washing down the entrance. Clarksdale has some nice places and some that ain't so nice. This is one of the nice ones.

This hotel is no longer a Best Western. I found out that the people who own the Comfort Inn purchased the hotel recently. They're going to fix it up however it seems they've only fixed up the entryway so far. Its very pretty and smells nice in the lobby. Staff was courteous at the front desk and helpful when asked for places to eat.
Bed was hard and uncomfortable; it was an old spring matteress. The towels have a "Hampton Inn" label on them. Soaps were a variety of old soaps from Hampton Inn and Best Western... not sure how old those were but they certainly didn't look fresh. Much of the room was out-dated (old TV, retro shower curtains, old comforters, lamps that didn't work, etc). But it had a new toilet.....
There was no "do not disturb" sign so I asked the desk to tell housekeeping not to enter my room. The first day they honored my request but the second day housekeeping had been in. I had the hallway door deadbolted because I figured thats the way housekeeping would come in. They must have went around to the outside door and got in. Oh well, nothing of mine was disturbed as far as I could tell.
Outside doors to the main building were unreliable. I tried to get into a side door and it wouldn't budge and was crooked in the door jam like it was pried on once. I tried another and it worked. I do like that the rooms themselves have an outside door and also a door to the hall inside.
No outside pool, its filled with cement and now has basketball and game areas. They're putting in a conference room where the indoor pool was.
No continental breakfast but there appears to be coffee available. Has fridge and microwave in room. Wireless net worked well.
Overall, not the best but certainly not the worst. Not sure there is really anything better in this town and the new owners do plan to fix this one up.
