We dropped in for lunch after visiting the museum, fueling up for our trip deeper into the Delta. Clarksdale generally did not look like the most inviting place for a stroll in search of lunch. Fried pickles, fried chicken -- what's not to like? I expect it would be fun to go to a show here.

Well, it had to be done!! We overnighted in Clarksdale and loved every moment!! ZGBC is the business with great service and a brilliant buzzy atmosphere!! Burgers were excellent so was the beverage!!
The restaurant/bar itself is quite a large one room with a stage at one end!! Bar all down one side and Loo’s and kitchen t’other!!
A blues band of old white men took the stage towards the end of our meal and put on a slightly pedestrian show of Blues/Rock standards, for which the restaurant wanted a cover charge of $10.00 .....!!
Essential to include this venue if you’re in town, even though it’s illustrious owner rarely makes an appearance!!

I visited this club on a whim with my husband goe our anniversary. First, it wasn't really a planned trip. And on a weekend when they had a major performance(Kingfish) planned.Even so, we arrived at 7:30 p.m. (just prior to main stage time) and managed to share a table that gave us great seats. On ethe regular, you should arrive early if you want to sit down; otherwise, you are at the mercy of those who arrive earlier. We had a great time, but a few caveats: we started drinking before we arrived, and.the good was good but nothing special. Be prepared to be socu if you want to find seating, and be aggressive with the servers or se go to the bar and get your own drinks. All in all, we had a great time and wi return!

We went when the Ground Zero website said the cafe was open. Closed tight. We were very disappointed and had lunch instead at the Stone Pony. Liked the ambiance of Clarksdale.
